Getting a bit frustrated about the direction of the golden pursuits choices

I understand these should also be suited towards new players or players leveling - but from level ups to bank space to bag space; there are more and more of these pursuits that are just impossible to do for "veteran" players so the choices we get basically get reduced to no choices... getting a bit frustrating to be honest - if you want players to have a choice please choose pursuits that the majority of players can actually do...

OR give everyone a new character slot so we can level a new character and do these pursuits as well (I would be very happy about this as well)

Yeah I don't see the problem with adding *more* choices. If we're going to have things for brand new players like bank space and level up mount training, why can't we also have like say, a trial and a vet dungeon?

Even though there are those few I'm locked out of, there's more than enough remaining to complete the pursuits easily.

Unlike the last time this happened where getting locked out removed nearly all choice, there are more options so even though I'm locked out of a couple it doesn't feel that bad.

For new life you needed 20, there were 29, 5 of them where character levels, leaving those of us without character slots at 20 out of 24.

This time you need 18, there are 27, only 3 of which (bank space, bag space and riding lessons) are vet unfriendly. leaving us with 18 of 24.

Agreed. There are 27 to choose from, and only 18 are needed for the apex reward, so we can totally ignore up to 9 activities and still get the apex reward. In fact, I've already earned the apex reward on PCEU, on the first day of the campaign, without doing any of the "new player" activities like upgrade bank space, upgrade riding skills, upgrade bag space, or earn levels. Nor did I do the one for placing furnishings. I expect to complete additional activities throughout the remainder of the campaign, but I don't need to worry about them.

    I finished it yesterday too.

The pursuit that baffled me is completing 5 weekly endeavors. The golden pursuit runs 21 days...

I have 20 characters, of which two are throwaways, places than can be deleted and resettled as needed for event stuff. i will probably do that.

Not being able to complete a few of the tasks in this GP only affects the ability t complete it in less than 1 hour instead of 2.

I was thinking about this yesterday. I have a toon around level 36(necromancer, just can't deal with the clunky skills). I used him last time to level up crafting skills. I'll use him this time as well. But if I ALL my character slots were level 50 toons that would suck. There are better things to use as Golden Pursuits, Scrying, Dragons, Fishing, Oblivion Portals, Wandering World Bosses in Deadlands(Hey GET people in little used zones and help people get achievements in those little used zones!) for example which even new players can participate in.

It just feels "off" somehow to have pursuits that some people cannot do. They should all be things everyone can do. It must feel like a slap in the face for people who have paid for the game for years. It's not a matter as some have stated to just do others, it should be for all.

As someone who has played this game for almost a decade, I can assure anyone concerned about my face, that it feels completely unslapped.

Some of us don't begrudge new players the ability to have nice things or easily complete something, even if it means we may have .001% less choices.

I’m sick of incursions. Grinded them when the chapter dropped for the achievements and all the loot, grinded them when it was the Gold Road event and now it seems I have to keep going back whenever there’s a new Golden Pursuit.

Most of the previous DLC zones are dead. Give us some Harrowstorms or Vents

    Incursions means any World Event.

So you can do Harrowstorms or Vents and have them count or be supper lazy and do Dolmens.

This golden pursuit was really fast and easy even without those. I did it in one day (perfect cause I’m not going to be able to play for most of the pursuit run time). Just ignore them and do the other ones.

Just to build on what I said above... I mean I finished the pursuit in a day so I'm definitely not trying to complain that there weren't enough options or that it wasn't easy enough or something.

My own opinion as a long time player though is just that these lists of mindless, menial tasks are quite boring and don't really do much to spark one's interest in the game. I'd love to see additional choices added to the pursuits involving more difficult tasks, like a vet dungeon, a trial, an arena, a bg or something from pvp... sure some people will just do the easiest tasks anyway and that's fine, but I'd love to have the choice of doing some more engaging activities. An occasional mini-quest or boss related to the theme of a pursuit could be fun too.

I guess I was hoping golden pursuits would be more interesting, but it seems like it's really just turned into endeavors combined with login rewards.

I'd really like to see GP's that required all of that as non-optional to complete. Unfortuately, no matter how great the reward should that come to pass, the ESO playerbase would froth at the mouth while they fell into an apoplectic fit.

Saw this myself. 21 days is 3 weeks not 5 so this is another impossible one to do.
Also agree with others that with 20 max characters with max riding level that takes 6 months to grind, I am not going to delete one and start all over again for the 5 or 6 that only new unleveled characters can do.

However just looking at the list now, there seems to be enough for veteran players to do

Have done 20 of 27 tasks in less than 2h. No new characters were used.
In addition there are tasks for 5 and 10 daily rewards, that extends the choice if you're not in a hurry.

Only "bank space" and "5 weekly endeavors :D " are the ones I'm never able to do.
So 18 of 25 is a lot of freedom. They are all really easy though, especially in comparison with MYM and some other pursuits in the past.

I dont mind to have more character slots though.

I'd rather they erred on the side of keeping Golden Pursuits easier/completable through normal gameplay, instead of making GP options that are too long/involved/difficult. Let's not forget that ZOS defaults to making tedious grinds (or "chases" to use the nicer-sounding term). I really appreciate that they have been more rewarding with Golden Pursuits.

No need to push that hard.
I can easily imagine how it might happen.

Imagine the team plan a pursuit for 30 days. Pursuit quests are carefully checked and agreed on.
Two months later the event schedule shifted a bit. Guys, we need to shorten this pursuit. 21 days? Easy fix, not a big deal... fixed. We have 20 more things to solve.

It is not that bad. Just funny :)

There are six of the options that a vet player with all maxed toons can't do this time around. It's not a crisis because there are still plenty of other options to get the GP done, but it's still a really bad look for those of us that planned ahead with our character creation because things like mount training take six months to complete. It just another example that shows how little care and effort ZOS is putting into retaining the vet player base.

    Came here to say this.

Whoever came up with it shouldn't be involved in a video game since they clearly can't even do basic arithmetic.

Saw this myself. 21 days is 3 weeks not 5 so this is another impossible one to do.

Gina addressed this the other day here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/8323358/#Comment_8323358

CP should definitely count as levels for Golden Pursuits (though that's no help to the slowly-growing 3600 community).
