I want to raise an issue that has been affecting Cyrodiil PvP for years — the stuck in combat bug.
Right now, I’m constantly getting stuck in combat after being killed and respawning at a gate. Even though I’ve clearly reset, the game still treats me as “in combat,” blocking me from teleporting, repairing, or even logging off sometimes for 10+ minutes.
This is incredibly frustrating, especially when I’m just trying to leave the zone or reset a stuck state. Why should I be punished by the system after I’ve already died and reset at a gate? There’s no enemy nearby, no danger, and no reason I should be forced to sit there waiting.
This has been a long-standing issue in ESO PvP, and honestly, it’s time it was reworked entirely. The current in/out of combat system feels clunky, unreliable, and poorly adapted to PvP. We need:
A proper reset of combat state after death/respawn.
A fix to stop invisible or long-distance combat flags from sticking.
A better system for detecting when a player is truly out of combat, especially at safe zones like the main gate.
This isn’t a minor annoyance it actively disrupts the flow of PvP and frustrates players who just want to enjoy the game. Please, ZOS: take a serious look at how the combat state is handled in PvP and rework the system so it works properly. We’ve been waiting long enough.
