New ways to scale summons

With the subclass update, we finally got the ability to build a true summoner setup — something The Elder Scrolls Online has been sorely lacking.

Unfortunately, the numbers on the PTS for full summoner builds are disappointing.

I think we need an additional scaling source for summon damage. Changing skills might be risky for balance, since many builds use pets indirectly and would end up dealing more damage. However, adding gear sets that specifically boost pets — without buffing the player directly, could solve the problem.

For example, a 5-piece bonus could look like this:
  • If you have two or more pets active, their damage is increased by X%.
  • When one of your pets deals damage, your other pets gain X% more damage for a short time.

Since this would be a separate layer of damage scaling, it wouldn't impact other builds and could be balanced more easily, if needed.

For instance, the damage could be set slightly lower than traditional DPS builds, to prevent "AFK" playstyles from becoming too dominant

I would love a petsorc option that didnt rely on daedric prey. I hate that skill so much. Right up there with trap beast in my 'most annoying to use' list.
When one of your pets deals damage, your other pets gain X% more damage for a short time.

They could even use this opportunity to give a not-beam build aoe by having the pets attack multiple different targets in a vicinity. The horror.
