Depends on the day, what I want to get done, job applications etc. I would say when I play I play for 4 to 6 hours but that isn't consistent since if there is another game like Clair Obscur right now I may play that game a bit more and only play ESO for 2 hours or so on certain days. It mostly just depends on my mood at the time.

It varies a lot, some days I can't log in at all or only for a few minutes, other days I might play for a few hours. I don't think there's an easy way to check total playtime in ESO, as far as I know you have to do it for each character, but I know in Guild Wars 2 I average just under 2 hours per day, and I play ESO less than that.

Most days I just log in, collect the daily log in reward then log back out again.

When I want to play, I have to make time for it when that happens can be anywhere from a couple hours to eight hours at most in a day.

I have the problem that when I decide I need something I HAVE TO do it, so while I typically maintain my playtime in the 2-4 hours a day range, if I suddenly decide I have to grind for a sticker book set or dolmens' XP or what else I can play all-day long.

At the end of the year the console playtime recap says I've played almost 4 hours a day, but many days it's more around 2 hours and others it can go to 6 or more.

A very good question but quite difficult to answer,

I have rapid days, login on main only,, do writs & endeavours as well. Logout... done!

Then come normal days = Login in on all alts, do writs & endeavours as well. Quest with one char if they need it - Logout.

There are the banking and cleanup days, depending on how bloated my storage is. Do all the above then each character banks all valuables, vendors the rest and slims down their inventory. Then my main steps in and sells all valuables to guild stores. This is also an opportunity to learn and sometimes purchase unknown recipe & motifs. So a longer play for the day but quite productive.

The lovely days, do all chores and then have have fun! Dungeons, eliminating some pesky hard-to-kill World Bosses, re-doing some enjoyable old content, the menu is vast and very satisfying and all my alts get to participate. That kind of play day could well stretch into many hours, a 24h+ session has been known to happen.

I play on two servers, and typically play a few hours on each one, so I'd say over 6 hours total-- but it can vary a good bit. On some days I probably play less than 4 hours total, but most of the time it's closer to 6 or more, especially if there's an event going on that I enjoy spending time on, such as Whitestrake's Mayhem.

I'd say about 2, usually in the late evening (on most days 2 hours, sometimes up to 3, sometimes only 1, so 2 seems to be the overall average).

It's generally a bit more during crafting-related events (because then I bother to do daily crafting on several alts to get the reward boxes - I wouldn't call that interesting gameplay at all, but it does lead to more login time) or after a new release (in that case, it's actually out of increased interest). Sometimes I also stay logged in a bit longer when a friend is online and we're chatting.

Generally, it had been more in the earlier years, but having finished the base game zones and not getting huge new areas anymore, there's not that much to do most of the time.

    It depends on the day.

If is just a chores day I am usually done in around 90 mins.

Used to be quite a lot more when I was doing daily writs on 32 chars but they have strongly disincentivised engaging in this particular activity.

If is one of the couple of days a week that we have fun stuff going on then it can be up to four hours.

Some days I only play for 30 minutes (for endeavors), but during periods where I have a lot of free time, and the inclination, it can go up to maybe 8-10 hours in the day (with lots of breaks, of course). On average, maybe 2-4 hours.

Sadly I can play all day, so my daily playtime really depends on my mood and on if there is new content. Some days it is half an hour, other days it is 10+ hours, like when new content in released.

    Usually 2-4 hours though.

Currently probably under 2 hours a day 7 days a week to do 2 or 3 daily endeavours plus occasional weekly ones, on both PC servers with two accounts. I still have a huge amount of quests to do but have spent a lot less time on ESO than before AwA. I'll spend a bit more time on ESO when my grandson is playing alongside me or there's an event or golden pursuits that appeal to me, but never more than say 3 hours a day. At the moment I'm sinking most of my gaming time into Oblivion Remastered.

I play around 40-60 hours marathons per every so often

Then I get absolutely sick of the game and do not come back for months.

Actually every game I play follows similar pattern. That’s why I have multiple alts each in several mmos.

I can say that there has not been an mmo or any game that could withstand my gaming habits for long. Maximum I can squeeze out of one title award belongs to competitive esports games but I do not touch these with a 5 feet pole nowadays. Peak of esports was original cod 4 promod scene.

It varies wildly. I tend to go through a similar pattern of
    - lose interest in eso and take break
    - skills degrade
    - play with friends after a break, have fun, want to improve
    - become engaged again as I try to improve and complete other goals
    - get tired of the same problems that always emerge
    - repeat

The middle of the cycle represents peak enthusiasm. I might play a *lot* during this phase. Back in late Dec I think I was grinding like 5+ vet dungeon pugs a day. But later I may play so little I might cancel eso plus, quit my trade guilds and not login for days at a time.

I've been playing more than normal lately as I've been making a point of playing some of my favorite characters -- some of which haven't been touched since 2019 -- before they're changed forever by the introduction of subclassing.

At this point, it's around less than two. Right now I'm slowly taking a couple of alts through the base game zones alongside the main quest. If I wasn't doing that, I'd be on even less, and some days I haven't logged on at all.

When the new content comes out, I'll be on more, since I finally decided I will buy it.
