Is More Complex Weaving Viable? Light Attack -> Ability -> Bash -> Repeat

I'm finding that if I light attack weave with a spammable ability, and immediately cast a bash after, and repeat that I'm doing more DPS than just light attack weave with a spammable.

Can anyone confirm if this is a viable way to increase dps when running one hand and shield?

I'm not sure, but it seems like light attack and bash attack are on separate cooldowns too, so if you cancel the light attack animation with an ability, then immediately bash, you can get all 3 damage events in the same 1second GCD.

I believe this is what people refer to as "bash weaving". I don't think most people do it but scorepushers might when possible.

Yes it’s viable and it does do more damage but most people don’t so this bcs you will nuke your stamina sustain and never have any stam

It depends a bit on the abilities that you are using (animation and cast time). Some greatly benefit from being bash or swap canceled, others not so much. Damage wise it is almost always worth it if you can stay in melee range, but as mentioned before, only if sustain allows it. Some players with bash builds sometimes push for more than 1 bash per GCD (bash is faster, check bash cost/damage vs ability cost/damage) by binding it to a quick input like mouse wheel scroll, but personally I find this causes me more issues due to latency or server lag.
