So I have taken a year or more break. I have forgotten all the build websites that i used to use.
so what websites are good for pve, and which ones are good for pvp?

last time i asked this some people said not to use build websites, but i could not theory craft my way out of a paper bag, and i enjoy looking back at these build websites and getting the gear and skills are recommended.

i think Arzyel has good builds (edit addition: there's builds there for PvE, PvP, solo, one bar)
    https://arzyelbuilds.com/

and ESO Hub has a build database with builds other players made with the website's build editor
    https://eso-hub.com/en/builds
    https://eso-hub.com/en/build-editor

they also have a Scribing simulator which shows how every Grimoire can be scribed
    https://eso-hub.com/en/scribing-simulator

    other websites with builds
    https://hacktheminotaur.com/
    https://alcasthq.com/category/eso-builds-classes/

edited to add: all those websites have Subclassed builds too if you're interested in that, the ESO Hub build editor supports it too.

For PVP, you best bet is to go on YouTube and find recent builds that work for your desired playstyle. There are a number of very good builders out there that explain why/how/what their build does other than show gameplay. I found them to be more informative than the PVE-centric build sites. Plus, PVP changes much more frequently than PVE for damage builds.

A lot of people dislike Xynode, but I find his builds to be a lot of fun to play, and really well explained, and although I'm not end-game, I'm the next tier down and his builds do great in vet (and most HM) content. The fun and understandable are key, here. Many of the 'meta' builds are parse builds, and overly complicated, and I, at least, spend more time looking at my bar to get the timings right than I do at the actual fight.

    Xynode Gaming

I also really like a lot of the builds by TheGameroom. Youtube | Website
They create a lot of accessibility / 1 bar / low action per minute builds that work really well.

if you want the true answer, youll have to do your own research.

every content creator is ok or good enough for pve builds but if you wanna know whats the best just check the logs and make your own judgments

in terms of pvp its honestly a toss up, most builds youll find are useable or a few patches outdated but really youve gotta go out of your way to learn who is who in the pvp space.

everyone should learn how to make builds and learn how the game works, most content creators know the bare minimum and nothing more so take everything with a grain of salt is all
