Dungeon penalties for abandoning group

Can't tell you how tired I am of "tanks" and "healers" dropping at the very start of a dungeon.

Wish there was harsher penalties for this behaviour. If you not a tank/ healer please don't ruin it for everyone else.

If you determined to think only of your own game, at the very least try and pretend to fill the role you signed up for.

In lieu of this behaviour, I wish these accounts would be automatically added to my ignore list. There's a winning feature right there!

I agree. Usually those players faking healers or tanks just want to have a fast queue, but as soon it's not fungal grotto 1, they are leaving and wasting the time of the 3 others.
As they repeat their behaviour, it would be a nice addition if they automatically get a ban for 1 day, if they leave 3 dungeons at start in a 48 hour time frame for example.

(Putting them on ignore does nothing to your advantage).

There isn't a big enough ignore capacity for this, and it won't prevent you from matching with them again. Other MMO's that did work to seem to avoid certain players, which was really great. I think there should be no penalty at all, that way people left behind aren't punished either. There is an even bigger issue, which is not many players actually want to play support roles.

Dungeon deserter debuff - 30 min cooldown before you can Q up again. Do it again? 60 min cooldown from there out.

I used to tank vet dungeons until someone starting abusing me and calling me a noob because I wasnt doing enough damage lol. Now I just stick to normal dungeons however Ive noticed if you sign up as a healer or tank and do no damage then your a noob.

Seems tanks and healers cant win.

Sounds like a group dps skill issue. If you have a taunt and know when to block or dodge, you're golden in my book.

Don’t let one person keep you from doing vet content if its something you enjoy!!

I think the main thing about the penalties is it needs to be ACCOUNT-WIDE. People aren’t just waiting out their penalty, they’re probably swapping characters and queueing again. And I think it’s only 15 minutes? Bump it to 30. You left the dungeon now you need to wait for the duration of it.

Something to discourage it would certainly be nice. Can't tell you how many times I've queued for a vet dungeon, only to have 1-2 group members immediately leave as soon as we load in.

If there's a longer penalty or account-wide, those players will just log off and play something else, and ZOS knows it. It won't stop the behavior as long as some normal DLC dungeons have higher difficulty than some vet base game dungeons. A hybrid tank/dps with taunt and some resistances and perfect setup for almost any normal dungeon and even some vet base game dungeon knows they will be toast in certain other dungeons. So they bail. This will get even worse soon with the latest two dungeons being part of the new DLC, so players who buy it get the dungeons whether they want them or not (most not).
