if you were expecting them to have integrity, that ship left i think a year or so after they went free to play. Having stuff outside of crates costing gems does seem nefarious. every time I take a break and come back it's insane how much worse their store has become.

nah i was expecting them to want to make more money and not make such a bad choice for making money cause NO ONE is buying THAT MANY crown crates to get 700 *** gems to buy that. it just is the sort of situation in the same boat as with fomo cosmetics as just making GOOD cosmetics that people can buy whenever makes people want them more as while fomo works INSTANT buyers, as most marketing strategies big companies have tried have shown, they are nothing more than short term boost that leads to MASSIVE losses later over a prolonged period of time.

yes and there's the Deepsea Corsair Summoned Steed mount as well, which is 700 crown gems.

And i know plenty of people save up Crown Gems or Seals of Endeavour as these types of items aren't new.

i save them too though currently don't have enough for this mount which i don't mind as it'll just return eventually.

700 crowns is a absurd amount, I can't even imagine what the dollar translation is, but it's very very high.

Thank goodness for endeavors - this was my first major purchase with mine since they started, otherwise there's no way I ever would have got this mount.

That aside, while I have no love for the pricing/financial team, the design team absolutely knocked it out of the park, the mount is beautiful. I was a little nervous about spending my endeavors, but I couldn't be happier with the result in the end.

I’ve got 2,900 gems.

And really 700 gems is the standard for all these type of limited time mounts.

I will say though that I love the aquatic stuff. I want a water effect healing orb for my water witch warden healer 😅

welp your the only one in this thread and i think you have a gambling problem too so you might wanna talk to a professional about that cause thats the ONLY way you CASUALLY have *** 2900 gems. having spoken from experience 2 times having pumped about $100 bucks on crown crate pulls before, that gets you to like maybe 1000-ish gems depending on how much of the items in the crate you already have and if you already have most of the crown crate items and that many gems, why do you keep buying crates and further, you likely already put a few hundred in to get most of the crate to get more gems outta that 100 bucks which is *** ABSURD TO THE POINT MOST EVERYONE isnt going to bother with it unless they just HAPPENED to have 700 gems they didnt spend yet or got lucky that the balls as *** endeavor system paid dividence after what would literally need to be like a year or 2 of dailies being done consecutivly without end and saving every *** 10 seals you got to MAYBE buy it.

dude its both just a bad marketing strategy and is just blatanly ridiculous to introduce items that most people wont be able to get like THIS. items like this just need to not exist and instead just stick to selling them as limited time crown items...............

nah its not good man cause to buy it with endeavors means you must of literally spent a few years saving up your dailies which is absurd on its own that it takes THAT LONG to be able to buy it.

Yes it's an absurd price, however we've had these types of items for years and they get bought.
Until zos changes the price, however unlikely, all we can do is save up Gems or Seals if we want to purchase items like the Deepsea Corsair Summoned Steed.

I didn't have to spend any gems, I've got more then enough endeavors saved to buy the mount multiple times over if I wanted, I got the endeavors through just regularly playing the game (not making it into a daily chore), and no crown crate purchases were required.... so yeah, from where I'm sitting, it's pretty damn good.

I agree, it would be so much better if you could just purchase the mounts with endeavors or crowns - I would love to see crown gems removed completely. But even if getting endeavors is slow, giving us an alternative to crown gems will never not be good.

Having been in a similar situation in the past (not being able to get a crown gem mount I wanted), the only solace I can give you is that there will always be something new and cool coming down the pipe, it may take a while, but I see no sign that the art team over at ZOS is going to be running out of awesome designs anytime soon.
