Simple Housing Wishlist

1) Weather Control Thank you... but*

2) Bards

3) Gardening

4) Fish Farming – Respawning fish schools (can be any type of fish). Surely, emptying a fish school once or twice per day and/or getting a few extra herbs won't break the economy.

5) More small & medium homes in cozy areas like Seyda Neen, Cipher's Midden, etc.

6) Ability to collect music rolls and play them on demand, essentially replacing the zone's default music. Want that sweet Greenheart piece playing at your Coldharbour Surreal Estate? No problem. Music boxes do exist, but they don't cut it for bigger homes, and these two features could definitely coexist.

7) Portal furnishings – would solve one of the issues some notable houses have.

8) More things to do in a house in general—stuff like writ boards.

All of this would help us express better with our creations, and help houses be more than just display pieces. Lastly @ZOS_Kevin I remember we talked about Fair Winds and rainy/fog weather before, sad to see it not get implemented with weather control, makes me curious if it's due to technical issues after all. It would also be nice if muffled interior weather sounds were finally added to all homes, only a few select have it right now (i.e. Fogbreak) even though it's barely audible. For consistency's sake, if anything.

WoW's housing is coming and it's going to be very robust even from the get-go, so please consider doing more for the housing community.

*Weather control is nice, but it sucks that we are limited to what the house/zone already offers. There should be more unusual weather types too, like mist, etc.
Lastly—and this is more of a personal request as a Dunmer enthusiast: add Ashfall & Ashstorm (see Ebonheart Chateau) weather options to the Vvardenfell houses. Ald Velothi is the perfect Dunmer home, but it misses that, despite being close to the Red Mountain.

Thank you, and good to see you again! These ideas have been brewing in my head for years, sadly we only got Weather Control so far (and that comes in a limited form) so here's hoping we get more cool features for the housing system in the future.

iwas really hoping for Weather Control to let us toggle Snow in all homes, Mist would have been awesome too.

Greenheart is my favourite base game soundtrack so I'd love that in all homes.


My big housing wish apart from the ones in your post,
having Teleports to other homes that we can place in any home.
The various cart and boat assets would be very fitting for this,
a Special Furnishing version of the Fair Winds ship would be so amazing to add to the docks in homes with docks. probably too huge but i still wish for it anyways.

Greenheart is by far my favorite too, followed by every Morrowind-related track. Your idea is really unique and would do wonders for immersion—I really like it! Fair Winds is in my top five; it would be nice if I could visit it directly from my Tel Galen dock.

Yes! Have two ground furnishing portals connected to each other as collectible furnishings (like the pool-style portals on the ground). You can place them however you like, but for them to work, they both have to be unobstructed (meaning a person has room to stand on them) and they both have to be laying flat.

It would be great for creating secret, otherwise inaccessible rooms!

I agree with the weather controller thing: I'd LOVE snow and mist/fog would also be amazing. Ashfall would be epic.

Here's some other stuff I'd love to see:
Some planar/oblivion skyboxes, if that's something they could do. I love the Evergloam sky (the Clockwork one); but the Deadlands Burn, Apocrypha, Coldharbour and Coloured Rooms would all be fun to work with.

Themed NPC packs- to bring houses to life.

Weapon and armour furnishings are a no-brainer.

As a big TES fan, I'd love to see some music boxes featuring tunes from the other games- Wings of Kynareth, Secunda. Daggerfall's Fireplace would be perfect for my home!

Bards could be solved by allowing us to "morph" the music boxes into a bard that plays the song. Maybe add a dialogue interaction that lets you pick the instrument to use (basic ones like the Lute).

I really love the furnishing item letters from the companions from High Isle and beyond but my library house does not have them for Mirri and Bastian. Could you please add letters from them to the game like with all the other companions. Also it would be really nice if once we unlocked the meta achievement for a given companion we could then buy duplicates of their letters from an achievement furniture vendor.

I want hostile plants/furnishings that arent locked behind crown crates. I wanted to try using them with parse dummy to test some builds. But no, they apparently dont want my crowns unless its "in season".
