Question about Subclassing

Hope this doesn't come across as a complaint (I am beyond excited for Subclassing). I am wondering why we cannot have two skill lines from another class for example switching out two Templar skill lines for two warden skill lines. If Warden was my primary class then I could just switch out 1 line with a Templar line and it's the same result.

Is there a balance reason that I am failing to see or possibly that this may be changed later since it's still early days for the new system.

Appreciate any thoughts on this.

To have two of one class, you need to be that class. It doesn't make much sense to have a Templar that's mostly something else.

That's fair. I wonder what the point of even having a "primary" class is with the new system.

It kind of seems like there's only a point if you do want to use two skill lines of one class. Otherwise a full hybrid isn't really one class, aside from class specific sets bring locked to actual classes

Maybe it's to prevent builds that are basically like "Sorc with Pyrebrand" from putting two Sorc trees on a base DK, or similar to get around the class script restrictions to abuse the Warden charm in PvP, etc.

Sub can simply be less than. In this case, that's true. That's why you must have one skill line from your class and can't have more than one of another class. Your class still dicatates what class sets will work ...so, even in a three class build, your class still has more impact than the two subclasses.
