ESO+ just lost a significant amount of value AGAIN!

Not sure what's the fuss here? For the money you do get plenty of Crowns - that alone pays a lot of the ESO+ price.

Then you get a crafting bag and lots of other increases (home furniture inc., bank inc.). Then you have all previous DLCs unlocked.

That means all stuff you didn't buy prior to Content pass, incl. all dungeons.

And you will also get a new furniture bank included.

So what's the real issue here? Unless I'm missing something big here, this to me is a nitpicking.

Yes, you’re missing the point entirely, probably wilfully as it’s really not that hard.

People bought something that was advertised as having certain benefits. Some of those benefits have been withdrawn, but the price has remained the same. Moreover, those missing benefits have been bundled elsewhere, so we have to pay for them again.

If you bought a car and it was delivered without wheels, would you be posting about how great the engine was because, hey, that’s most of the value anyway? No, thought not.

What missing benefits? Your car analogy is totally over the top. Car without wheels is useless, ESO+ is still very much like it always was. If anything, its value is yet to fall down a bit, probably next year, as this year you will get all DLC zones/dungeons with the "chapter" (game pass). And where I live, the price is the same as always was for all previous chapters.
    Why didn't you mention that?

You will get more with the game pass that maintained the same price and you will have those dungeons even if/when your ESO+ sub expires. But with ESO+ you will get a new furnishing vault as one of new compensations.

So, I will get more with the game pass, but slightly less (dungeons/new dlcs) with ESO+. Meaning, I will continue playing those dungeons and zones even when my ESO+ expires. It's a win in my book. I wish it was like this from the start.

You should probably do the following.

    1. Look up shrinkflation
    2. Look at posts by ESO+ subscribers who don't play dungeons, and therefore don't want to have to pay for a content pass that includes them, since they already have access to the dungeons they don't want to play through ESO+.
    3. Look at posts by ESO+ subscribers who say that they'd only cancel their subscription if they were planning to leave the game, because they'd never play the game without it. Therefore, the "added value" of owning the dungeons outright is useless to them, therefore they don't want to pay for them since they already rent them through their sub.
    4. Look at the posts by many posters who have noticed that the content pass is at least the same price as an annual chapter, but often higher, even though the zone is smaller and there's no new PAID system being added. If it's the same price in your region, congrats, you're paying for less!
    5. Look at the posts by ESO+ subscribers who say that they're not into housing, so the new furniture vault adds no value for them.
    6. Notice that ZOS hasn't confirmed yet whether the content pass will become part of ESO+ next year, like annual chapters always did.

It would have been simple for ZOS to offer a content pass that doesn't include the dungeons, because there are also non-subscribers who don't want them. So they're being asked to pay for something they don't want.

Instead of trying to convince everyone that paying for something they don't want, or paying for something they can already access, is a good thing, maybe ask yourself why ZOS didn't offer a pass that doesn't contain the dungeons. Hint: It isn't because they're giving ESO+ subscribers a great deal and we should all be happy, happy, happy about it.

Yup. I have zero use for dungeons - never have never will. I'm certainly NOT paying for access to stuff I will never use. Absolutely not. Talk about blind deaf and dumb ZOS....

I don't run 42 extra characters just for banks

I just play the character. You can't play the game using my style without the craftbag. So, the sub will always be something I need.

Maybe your suggestion is they reduce the number of characters allowed, thus making the craft bag necessary and the sub necessary ?

I’m genuinely baffled that you can have reached the conclusion that this is a “win”. I guess we’re truly living in a post-facts society. Are you American by any chance ;)

And why did not I mention that “where you live the price the same…..” Maybe because I don’t know you? I don’t know where you live? And based on what you’ve written so far, and certainly based on every geography I can see and other comments on here, you’re wrong?

ESO+ didn't lose any value. If anything, it's just staying static, as it still has all the benefits it had previously. But it will eventually give access to the season content as well, most likely.
What did indeed happen tho is that you are weirdly disincentivized from buying the content pass, which feels very counterproductive.

This "double charging" has been happening for years already tho, as Chapters eventually become Crown Store DLCs and thus ESO+ content.

I'd hazard the guess that based on internal metrics, the group who buys chapters but not ESO+ is the largest demographic.
And thus they are trying to placate them?

Tbh the biggest issue is that people are discouraged from perma owning Dungeon DLCs, which is more of an issue with the Random Dungeon tool.
