Rich already said there's a chance they'll apply the tech for stackable Master Writs to things like Treasure Maps in the future.
For people who didn't see the after show, basically any Master Writ you get after this goes into effect is going to come in an envelope (so say Blacksmithing Envelope). These envelopes contain the Master Writ and are what stack; using an envelope gives you the Master Writ. Basically the Writs won't themselves be stackable but will come in containers that are.
The hope is this tech can be used for things like Treasure Maps in the future, that they'll be in containers that can stack instead of being something you can only have one of at a time in your inventory
With any luck, the testing in PTS will go well for the stackable Master Writs and they'll be able to quickly apply it to Treasure Maps. I'd say those are more egregious since you can only have one of any Map in your inventory at any time, which makes them more of a hassle to deal with than something that take up more slots but at least are right there and you don't need to juggle them like Maps.Rich already said there's a chance they'll apply the tech for stackable Master Writs to things like Treasure Maps in the future.

I made the mistake of being exited about being able to stack them when I read about it in another post. I should've known better

I'm not sure if they could do something like that either. It would be nice if instead of working like the Furnishing Plan boxes from Rolis (open one, get the thing, open one, get the thing) they did work like group containers such as holiday event reward boxes or WotW. Then like you said, you can just open one thing and grab what you want at any given time.Rich already said there's a chance they'll apply the tech for stackable Master Writs to things like Treasure Maps in the future.

I'm curious how that will look like. If I have a stack of envelopes, I would have to take it apart into single items and then open each of them to look which writ is inside (to find out whether my character knows the armor style)? I mean, it's a solution to stack them somehow, but it feels a little clumsy.
Not sure if it's technically possible to automatically sort new items into a box that's already in the character's inventory? Because that would be the ideal solution in my opinion; so if you get a new master writ it would automatically sort into one writ container/envelope you already have in your inventory (they could even make it a buyable item at Rolis), which would then function like a reward box, so you could open it when ever needed, scroll through the writs and read them and then choose which ones to unpack.
You can open them as you get them, or open your stacks before popping your Scroll. It'll basically be like how filleting Fish used to be, "open" one at a time and get the mats. It's trading speed for inventory space. I imagine we'll probably get an Open All option for individual stacks though...actually...antihero_kazuma wrote: »While on the inventory end it would save a lot of room if each writ was in a stackable folder, but when I do writs I try to complete as many as possible during a scroll. This would mean I have to click inside multiple folders to open up each one. I'm not sure this would be a great feature in all honesty.
