Buying the new season and confusing options

On Xbox game store there are 2 versions of the content pass: Content pass @£84.99 and Premium content pass @£74.99!? (Not sure why premium is cheaper, but ok)

They both include Tam Unlimited, Necrom, Gold Road, High Isle, Blackwood etc etc
I own all this already so where is the option to only buy the 2025 pass?

Also ESO+ usually includes dungeon DLCs so how will it work going forward?

Also hoping for some clarification here.

What's included with the ESO+ subscription this year? ESO+ used to get us access to the Q1, Q3, and Q4 zone updates, with only the Chapter needing to be purchased on top of the sub cost. Does this mean the Q4 zone is also removed ESO+ now? Or literally everything is removed from ESO+? Or is everything included in ESO+ this year?

    This is really confusing.

This is exactly what I've been confused about too. Couldn't find a FAQ section anywhere, despite the article saying otherwise.
Ended up manually searching and found it here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/675896/eso-2025-content-pass-faq

    It's probably an error.

I see €79.99 for Premium and €49.99 for content pass in my region.

The way it looks now, ESO Plus will cost the same for no DLCs, only the bag...ESO Plus subscribers essentially pay double now.

From an initial look, this seems horrible for ESO+ subscribers.

I already have dungeon access via ESO+, but I'd now need to buy what amounts to a package that includes things I already have access to just to get the new zone?

I really hope some value is being added to ESO+ somewhere.

    Am I missing something?

Do we still get the old dungeons from ESO Plus or are those going away? I'm a bit confused.

Content Pass seems like a complete mess. On the surface it seems to just be a $10 USD price increase over the Chapter model, but then you realize that as an ESO+ subscriber, you are actually paying more for the pass since you are effectively paying twice for the dungeons. You already get access to the dungeons via ESO+, so having them in the Content Pass means nothing. Moreover, you are expected to pay up front for content that is not defined or explained when you purchase it.

I would have rather had them just make ESO+ mandatory to play the game than something like this. This is just a mess.
Content Pass is not the answer. It is a question, the answer is No.

Yep, that's what I keep thinking too.

It looks like the Q2 and Q4 updates are now part of the Season/Chapter price, so they've taken the opportunity with taking a break from Q4 zones to now remove them from ESO+ as they make a return. That's bummer number 1. But by bundling the dungeon packs with the zone content for a combined package (and conveniently leading to a price increase over the Chapter model...) it looks like they've neglected to provide an option for ESO+ subscribers to purchase just the Q2 and Q4 content. We're forced to pay for the dungeons twice from now on if we want to play the new zone at release?

If I've understood that correctly, it's incredibly disheartening. Kinda says a lot about how they view their ESO+ subscribers, so I hope I've misunderstood or they plan to add a cheaper purchasing option that doesn't include content already provided via ESO+.

tl;dr: I want to support you here with a purchase ZOS, but you're making it very difficult to justify...

Xbox store is missing the content pass on its own as far as I can see. I have attempted to get in contact with Xbox support with no luck so far (ESO submit a ticket page suggests contacting Xbox support as it is an issue their end🙄).

I got in contact with Xbox support. They had listed the content pass as £84.99 incorrectly and have now amended it to be £44.99 (I have checked and confirmed the right price shows now.

    So nothng changed.

Wrong. ESO+ subscribers are being made to pay for the Dungeon content via the Content Pass when they get it “free” as part of the subscription. There is no way to decouple the purchase of the story content from the Dungeon content like there was before. And for non-subscribers (on console especially), there does not appear to be a way to purchase the Dungeon content via Crowns like they could before. This is most certainly a change.

It's just as bad on Steam. I can only assume they're being maliciously ambiguous in hopes of you buying the expensive version by hiding the $50 version. Notice in this screenshot the $50.00 version is at the bottom in small print while all of the expensive versions have top billing in large text.

I actually didn’t know anything about this at all until I saw an IG add about the preorder bonuses and the Mage Guild custom recall caught my eye so I looked into it and I am so confused…

Before this “content pass” nonsense the model was very clear: subscribe for monthly crowns, the bag, and all the other perks plus new dungeons when they release and then pay extra when new zones release; OR buy everything a la cart.

Now it’s a jumbled mess that makes you wonder why you’re subscribed at all if they’re going to still nickel and dime you for everything. It’s really disheartening and reeks of a desperate money grab. Not surprising given the current economic climate but kinda scammy and I hate having the wool pulled over my eyes like this.

    I concur

    Q. Is The Elder Scrolls Online: 2025 Content Pass included with an ESO Plus membership?
    A. No, the 2025 Content Pass is not included or unlocked with ESO Plus. Note that the 2025 dungeon packs (Fallen Banners and Feast of Shadows) will be also available via ESO Plus membership.

    Q. When I purchase The Elder Scrolls Online: 2025 Content Pass, do I permanently own all the content that comes with it, or does it work like an ESO Plus membership?
    A. Once you have purchased the 2025 Content Pass or Premium Edition, your account will have permanent ownership of all included content.

    Q. What content requires purchase of The Elder Scrolls Online: 2025 Content Pass (or 2025 Premium Edition)?
    A. The following 2025 releases require the 2025 Content Pass or Premium Edition:
Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1 and Part 2
Including the new Solstice zone and storyline
Writhing Wall event elements within the Solstice zone
Note: Players without access to the Seasons of the Worm Cult content will be able to participate in event activities that are not in the Solstice zone—more on this in the future!
Unique bonus collectibles delivered in June 2025, including a mount, pet, and memento

    Q. Will content that requires The Elder Scrolls Online: 2025 Content Pass (or 2025 Premium Edition) also be available via ESO Plus and/or the Crown Store at launch?
    A. The Fallen Banners dungeon pack (now live) and the Feast of Shadows dungeon pack (arriving Q3) will both be available via ESO Plus membership or a Crown Store purchase in addition to the 2025 Content Pass or 2025 Premium Edition.

ESO+ has gained access to all DLCs when released, both playable zones and dungeons, except for the Chapter, which was released to ESO+ a year later.

With this new design, @ZOS_Kevin's answer in their Q&A thread indicates that only dungeons will be released to ESO+, with no mention of the other content being provided to ESO+ ever.

This is taking value from ESO+ and essentially making it nothing more than renting the crafting bag and some extra bank space.

Maybe some information is missing from that Q&A, but we can kick ESO+ to the curb and save some dough. *shaking head*

nope, in previuos years you only paid for new chapter (big zone), q1 dungeons, q3 dungeons and q4 usually new smaller zone was in ESO+, this year content pass will have all the new stuff: zone, story line and dungeons and whatever in game event will be.
ESO+ will contain all the old DLC and as I understood, this content pass will be in ESO+ in the next year (like previos chapters were), so whatever content pass contain this year will be in ESO+ in the next year.

Please point out the thing I said that is not true.

I at no point said ESO+ gives less than previously.

I said "I already have dungeon access via ESO+, but I'd now need to buy what amounts to a package that includes things I already have access to just to get the new zone? " (In fact it was a question. Not even a statement.)

But it turns out the answer to my question was yes, and this is 100% true. I have access to dungeons via ESO+. The Pass is a package that again includes the dungeons. There I'd be paying for a thing that is more expensive than the chapters were on release to access the new zone content, and part of that price is due to the inclusion of something I already have access to.
