[SUGGESTION] Please play the bright light level up sound and animation when you level up CP

I know it sounds silly, but I really wish I could hear and see my progress in champion points via the level up animation. It feels good to see, my brain is weird like that. Anyone else feel similarly?

EDIT: It appears the community has spoken, so I won't continue to advocate for this change. Maybe I'll just try to make it as a mod.

After a certain level, levelling up means almost nothing. I don't want to hear a "reward sound" for nothing.

Also, we level up to CP3600. How many times would we have to listen to it?

Yes, it's a pleasant feeling when it happens, but every single CP would be too often. Maybe every 100 CP. That way it could also serve as a reminder that you've gathered a bunch of them now, time to allocate them.

I could like a CP animation as well but better a more subtle one.

there still isn't a toggle for flashing effects. so no.
this would make the game less accessible

I'd love to see a "level up" event for CP.

Also support the flashy stuff. Players who do not like the flash can turn off "Show Additional Ally Effects" so it should be no issue if it were incorporated.

no we cannot, that is not a setting on Playstation and Xbox nor does it affect all flashing effects for people on PC.
ally effects would only be effects from your allies, right?

and not Hardmode Scrolls, your own level up flashes, mount effects, pet effects, dungeon boss effects?

Totally unnecessary in my view, the visual notification is perfectly adequate and not easily missed. We don't need any more flash bang nonsense.

    100% disagree.

I rarely, in fact never notice when I get a CP level. Its only when I go do CP's that I find I have 20 more to spend that I notice it.

I would love to have a better notification when I level up CP. Not necessarily to the same degree as reaching a new class level, but something more robust than what we have now.

But I can also see the point that ZOS feels its a waste of time putting resources into something like this vs something they can sell on the crown store.

Unfortunately that setting doesn't exist on console

    Not on consoles. Pass. Sorry.

Ok, so consoles can not reduce the flash.

My next question, is why are so many people concerned with more "flash"?

For one thing, many of us have lots of Champion Points. After a certain point, I know I don't pay attention to these gains—at least until I have amassed many of them. The current notification is, in my estimation, more than enough.

Quite frankly, I’d see this as at best superfluous and at worst needlessly distracting. Speaking purely for myself, I really don’t need the same visual effects for gaining a new Champion Point that I would get when gaining a character level.

''Show additional ally effects'' affects player abilities like the fire of Wall of Elements from being seen. It doesn't hide level up flashes, or most effects that you see in game, for that matter.

It's to help reduce in combat visual clutter.

Absolutely 100% yes! Have actually suggested this before, as I miss the level up animation due to having 20 level 50's.

That said, I am close to 3600 CP now, so I'd be out of luck and missing that animation yet again!:neutral:

PS: Atleast play the level up animation for 3000+ CP players at every CP level up ,as at that point every level is worth an animation.
PPS: Can't believe some players are actually against this, it is fun to see myself level and to see other players level.

I would like it to be removed, at least from displaying to other players, below Champion level. I don't need to know when someone else levels up, and I get more than one prompt to claim the level-up reward.

I wouldn’t mind it, but I would want it to be optional in case I ever got tired of it and wanted to turn it off.

Right now, I enjoy it when my companion compliments me on getting a new CP. it makes me feel little warm and fuzzy inside. 😊
