Pyrebrand and Relequen double ticks (2x dps)

This mechanic needs to die. If you light attack at a frequency of 1.1-1.3 seconds, you can double proc the tick on both Pyrebrand and Relequen.

I didn't save a CMX but it looks like this.

1 second: 1500 Pyrebrand

2 seconds: 1500 Pyrebrand
2.1 seconds: 1500 Pyrebrand

3.1 seconds: 1500 Pyrebrand
3.2 seconds: 1500 Pyrebrand

You should never be able to double tick like this. Also, if you think 1500 damage is high then wait until you fight a SSC Pyrebrand Essence Thief DK hitting you for 2k Pyrebrand ticks x2 = 4k dps just from light attacking.

Anyway, these sets would be perfectly fine if they didn't have the double tick mechanic.

The set's normal behavior is to tick immediately, then every 2sec after that.


No double procs, but spamming LA had it proccing inside 1sec, effectively doubling its damage output.


Can't recall whether this is intended behavior. IIRC the only proc with a definitely intended immediate tick is Savage Werewolf, which is specifically stated on the card. Normal sets with normal cards have a 2sec delay before the initial tick.

Relequen is a PvE trials set that has no business appearing in PvP at all, dunno how someone looked at this and ended up buffing it for PvP without adding "against monsters" to the end of the card.
