Lep Seclusa Siege Master Malthoras healing back to 100%?

I'm trying to do Lep Seclusa solo on normal and twice I've gotten the Siege Master Malthoras down to a certain health percentage (can't remember what it was) and he somehow instant healed backed to 100% which was super annoying given how slow the fight is.

The Alcast guide doesn't mention any heals or necessary interrupt mechanics for this miniboss either.

Is this a bug or some mechanic that can be dealt with?

Edit: Found this video where someone destroyed the siege equipment first, did that, boss came down, killed him pretty quickly and easily then.

I don’t think whatever’s happening here is the same thing. The summons-causing-despawns only happens with multi-boss fights and happens at the beginning before you can even hit the bosses.

My questions are:
- did he stay inside of his fight arena?
- you said it took a long time, did he say anything or do anything that made it seem like it may be a dps check or mechanic or did he just randomly disappear?

The only time he did this to me, it was before I learned about the mechanic of destroying the siege equipment and was trying to kill him while he was still up on the platform, and I accidentally went just a little too far away.
