Frankly, I don’t have an issue with the idea of dropping junk from crown crates. That’s because you usually get 4 items: 3 of them are junk you can trade for gems, and the last one ranges from decent to excellent.

Usually, the 16 gems items are okay. But putting base game furnishings as rewards in this tier — and ones that don’t even unlock permanently, forcing you to drop them endlessly — is, at the very least, infuriating. Seriously.

These items are from the base game and can be bought for laughably low amounts of gold from any guild trader. When I got this garbage, I felt completely deceived, frustrated, and decided I would never buy a crown crate again.

Congratulations, Zenimax, you managed to lose one of the people who religiously bought 25 crown crates every time they were released. This attitude is DISRESPECTFUL to your players — to say the LEAST.

I don't have a problem with the idea of loot boxes. I usually don't mind the concept of cosmetics being locked behind an absurd paywall. But this time, I genuinely felt disrespected. I hope you reconsider this and learn to treat your customers with respect.

I agree, though my reaction was to laugh and shake my head. I'm sure they'll have some internal metrics that show how much of this nonsense people will grudgingly accept, but it is such a bad look for such a marginal gain. Why do this? What was the goal here, really?

I completely agree. I would be fine if they added at least some interesting and rare furnishing, something you can’t just craft for 100 gold. But this trash? Laughable and greedy.
