The centre of Tamriel?

I like the new map on the front/loading screen…but…

There are two problems:
1. The longitude lines start from the ‘pole’, center point….but is off-center in the ouroboros.
2. The center point is not the center of Imperial City, where the ruby throne would be…it actually seems to be centered on Castle Alessia.

I don’t think they meant those to be longitudinal lines, otherwise the areas on the edges of the map would be enormous.

What does this loading screen look like? I haven't seen ut on PC, so I guess maybe it's a console thing? Can you post a pic?

I don’t have a snapshot, but it’s the big Tamriel map and the rotating circles for the zones outside of Tamriel. You see it before the character loading screen.

I haven't seen it on PC. I was assuming it isn't the same image as the map you see when you view the map and zoom out as far as possible, which was why I asked for a screenshot. But I do see faint circles, lines, and constellations(?) on that world map, so if that's the same image as the one you're talking about then I guess there's no need for a screenshot.

The center point would be where the observatory is located. The Greenwich Meridian, basis for GMT, runs through the Greenwich Observatory, not the Royal Palace. It is the map makers' home that matters.

You can see it while the Gamepad UI/Accessibility Mode is active.

Yes. Everything is off center.

I have this funny suspicion that players are a little bit more critical about such things than the artists. It is a cool looking map screen and that was probably the goal.
