I was on hiatus the first couple Jubilees, and missed the more normal looking classic cakes from those years. I'm not even sure the cakes were offered as furnishings back then - I think they were just the Jubilee Event XP mementos, which is part of why I didn't bother at the time.
And now every year they release some monstrosity horror-cake with demons or skeletons on it, dripping with "blood", etc and I'm just like...
Being locked out of rewards that I don't think were even offered at the time feels extra cruddy. It doesn't feel especially fair.
I get that they want to reward participation from that time. I'd pay a premium of up to 10 tickets for Event Cake Furnishings from years I missed (as an example solution), putting it on par with a fancy event fragment. Paying over triple the standard price seems like a fair trade off (to me, anyway).
Please let me buy the regular looking cakes someday. Or at least give it a rest with the spooky Halloween cakes. I was so hopeful this year, until I saw it up close. Skeletons. Great. Ugh.
I like the Argonian stonework stand and plates I guess...?
Yes, I'm fully aware there's a dedicated contingent of players who feel that logging in several years ago to click a button in a video game is an accomplishment that should be memorialized forever with exclusivity.
I don't agree with that mentality, and find it very tiresome. I've been playing this game for 11 years. I have lots of "exclusives". It wouldn't hurt me at all if other people, newer people, people who took breaks, etc, got access to them in some way.
If your enjoyment of things is tied to other people not having them, that sounds depressing as dirt.

IMO they should make the mementos required to acquire the replica cakes part of the 'bags of yesteryear'.
