[Solved] - Jester’s Festival Runebox for Deadly Headband

I have been looking for this item in guild traders and it does not come up in the search options. I am searching with “all items” and keyword “Jester’s.”

Are these dropping from the rewards boxes, and if so, why don’t they show up in the search?

From the event webpage:

In addition to the aforementioned rewards, the Stupendous Jester’s Festival Box has a chance to contain the following goodies:

NEW: A random unbound page of the Alliance Mimicry outfit style
Note that this style consists of head and chest pages for each alliance
NEW: An unbound Jester’s Deadly Headband adornment Runebox

I got one yesterday (straight after I bought it for tickets lol) from the golden reward box, so they definitely drop from those.

Yes, it's 'Runebox: Sword-to-the-Head Adornment' and there are plenty listed in TTC.

That happened to me, too, yesterday. Saw someone else had that happen to them in chat 2 days ago. I wonder if buying it increases it's drop chance, just to mess with people? Fitting for the event's theme.

Same thing happened to me. I searched for the item based on the name I thought it would have, found nothing, decided they must be bound items, and bought it with tickets. Then the next day an unbound one dropped for me and I realized I could have bought it on a guild trader. 😤

Thanks! Found one on PS/NA for little gold once I could search for the correct name at the guild traders.

I bought one and regret it.

I had to turn in the quest and had to make a quick decision.

The ticket price made me think it was very rare and exclusive.

And as "luck" would have it, I got one today too... Apparently it isn't so rare at all.

I have yet to see one in my daily Stupendous coffers, so I bought it with tickets. Interesting about the difference in the name.

I’m glad you found out in time. I wish I had spent gold instead of tickets on it myself. 🙂

Edited to add: I know I should not use WoW so much as an example, but in their similar feature if you buy something with Trader currency you have a two-hour (I think) grace period to sell it back for a full refund if you realize you made a mistake. I don’t usually need that feature, but it’s nice to know it’s there.

Well I got my runebox for way less than ten tickets worth of gold, lol. I bet there are a lot of players wondering why they can’t sell those runeboxes since no one knows how to search for them in traders.

I’m glad you brought this up, though, since it’s extremely unclear why they named the same thing so differently that people may easily not make the connection without help.

I know some early sets had this issue (Advancing Yokeda/Berserking Warrior), but imo it’s not a good practice to set a chase for something and then name the same target two very different things. There’s no apparent reason to do it and very good reasons not to.
