Could have given us a normal cyrodiil without vengeance

It just leaves us with battlegrounds (boring imo), and Imperial City which is nice but gets kinda boring and ugly to keep looking at all that blue lighting after an hour or so. (I can't be the only one who thinks this, lol.)
Atleast this event lasts only a week (Based on what I have been told)
But it would have been nice to have atleast the normal campaign with everything completely normal.

leave the game and wait until they restore it to its original form..That's exactly what I've been doing since the first hour.:)

I was yesterday in Vengence tbf i left to IC and BG after a hour. It is just a number game zerg with the most players win. I will wait until the test end and jump back to cyro.

Now you understand what cyrodil was supposed to be. It wasn't intended to be a 20v20 like live currently is.

Its also not just most players win, a smallman can easily win outnumbered. Considering there are no sets or out of class skills that is pretty amazing that it is feasible.

The objective of the test is to stress-test Cyrodiil by letting as much people into the campaign as possible, increasing the population cap each day. That does not work if you give players the option to go to other campaigns.

They were pretty clear I think that the whole point was that they wanted to basically stress test cyro in vengeance mode and that this requires a high population that couldn't be 'faked' using automated tools or achieved with the much lower population on PTS. Leaving other campaigns open would probably have made this goal more difficult, if not impossible, for them to achieve.

It'll be back to normal in less than a week now and life will go on for those who are finding it unenjoyable. And ya know, if they get the data they need, it may even be a significant first step toward improving Cyro performance... you know... the thing everyone has been complaining about and demanding that they address for years.

There was a battle going on at Arrius last night(PC-EU), well early evening, AD were defending, DC and EP were attacking, this went on for close to two hours, it was crazy delicious fun, the fights were awesome!!

I for one do not miss the inevitable ball groups that would have ruined that battle in an instant!!

I used to spend a lot of time in the below 50 campaign, nearly all my characters were levelled up there, unfortunately it is now mostly dead but I see it as an example of what could be done in a new style campaign. Below 50 had built in restrictions as new and early level characters have less fleshed out builds. Going forward maybe there could be a simplified campaign added where people who love large scale battles on a more even playing field could choose to go.
