Addon Selector in Character Load Screen

I think ZOS needs to do an Addon Selector (Like that addon Addon Selector) in the character load screen so you can save addon setups.
With Addon Selector you have to reload the UI with the character. I'd prefer being able to setup addon groups at the character load screen. It would be much more efficient this way.

I use the same add-on settings on all my characters, so I have no need for this. If they do consider this as a feature please make it optional. I do not want to have to choose add-on groups every time I change characters.

If it worked like Addon Selector, you wouldn't have to choose every time you logged in. It would use the last setting you used, similar to how it works now at the character load screen. The only change is that you'd have presets that you can setup and pick from at the character load screen.

I have found that going into Cyrodiil and turning off certain addons I get no lag or frame freezes.
If I do trials, I only want to have the addons that I use for trials load, same with arenas or whatever.

You wouldn't have to do more at the character load screen, it would remember the last preset you used, you wouldn't even have to use presets either. I hope this makes sense.

I can see how some may have a use for this but I personally don't.

But how likely are they to add a base game feature that's purpose is to control other features that aren't part of the base game?

Considering there is an Add-On tab for enabling/disabling addons that has a "master switch", it's already part of the base game on a very limited level. Adding presets for the Add-On selector should be an "easy" addition to the game.

I understand that not everybody would use it, and with addons being added to console, the addition would be useful for all platforms.

I'm not against the idea. I just don't have a need for it myself and don't want to have to set up any profiles.

You wouldn't have to, If you use AddonSelector it doesn't make you setup any presets...if you don't make a preset, it doesn't do anything, meaning the addons you have enabled are the addons that load. In reality adding the option for presets wouldn't change anything except having the ability to make/load addon presets at the character select screen.

I see only a very limited use for this and don't see it as really being more efficient. It would be better to have preset configurations in game. Maybe allow players to tie presets to armory slots? Otherwise you would need to log out each time for a preset. So if you wanted to do daily writs then jump into PvP for a while you would need to log out and back in again after doing writs.

I see this as being part of the addon selector in general, whether it's at the character load screen or if you have a character logged in. Logging out/in is basically the same as reloading UI as far as how addons on loaded.
