Hey everyone !

I know this topic has already been up a few times but since I can't find recent info on the subject I was wondering if we are absolutely sure that the searing gem lead (for the marking ring of majesty) is not bugged? I have been farming daedrats for soooooo long in the Deadlands that now have 3k guts but still no leads in sight ><"

This is the lead it took me the most time to get by far

Literally 3 weeks of an hour or 2 a day of farming ugly dead lands rats for me to get it, it legitimately put me off getting other mythics. I finally caved a bit ago and easily grinded 6 mostly useful ones out in one day but that one in particular will continue to haunt me and I hope you get it soon

I finally got around to excavating the Markyn Ring just before the last Mayhem event. I farmed daedrats in Wretched Spire of the Deadlands for the lead. Took maybe an hour.

If you have multiple characters, load up on cheap treasure maps and find out which character that day seems to be most successful at popping leads from those. Then use that toon to go farm the daedrats. Worked for me.

It worked for me a few months ago, but I'm not sure if anything has changed. I farmed them in and around the tunnel South of Destruction’s Solace Point of Interest. Hopefully the RNG decides to give you a break soon, they're tedious to farm.

Hi, I completed this ring on 3/3 if I'm not mistaken about 2 weeks ago and the specific Lead you mentioned was not such a big problem for me.
The worst thing was getting the Lead for 1/3, it took me over an hour to drop it, ironically for 2/3 (which is usually the worst) it dropped very quickly after maybe 2 or 3 rats killed (RNG is sometimes..) and for 3/3 it took me around 20min farming before it dropped.

My "spot" where I killed rats was from The Scourshales wayshrine towards the tunnel which is a bit higher.
I walked and at specific places rats spawn (after you run a few times you know exactly where they spawn), I ran along the route, along the way I killed rats at the spawn spots and at the end of the tunnel I just turned around and on the mount went back to the wayshrine and again walked to the tunnel, it took me just enough to get the rats to respawn.
(I hope I remember it right..)

I hope this helps you a bit and good luck!

Another good daedrat spot is the far east wayshrine (names escape me atm, not in game right now). Using Thoriorz' image to show the loop I used for farming them. (Hope that's ok)

I can only repeat myself, time and again.
Excavate the other active leads first! Then go farming your target lead.

ESO has a hidden mechanic that increases drop chances for all leads, the less purple and gold leads are active.

Just took this screenshot less than a day ago. Just to let you know that it's still dropping.

I'm curious how you came to this conclusion.

I deliberately keep any and all Active Leads I don't need untouched so as to prevent getting unwanted leads if more than one lead drops from the same pool. As a result, my active leads list is a mile long. And my success rate for lead drops remains consistent.

I would have to agree with @DenverRalphy here, my active lead list is pretty much always huge, I have tried the "no lead waiting" approach and I'm sorry to say it has never ever worked for me. :(

Yet with a healthy list for whichever zone the leads keep dropping and I get the one I'm after.

I especially keep those leads that drop easily in my active list, otherwise I just get more of those!!
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!
