Furnishing Request: Dragon's Treasure Trove

Can we get a way to get this furnishing? Since it hasn't been released since 2019. Literally 6 years ago?

And since ZOS is cutting back content, and has a literal hoard of gate-kept content, seems like the perfect time to re-release stuff?

Re-releasing Jode's Embrace at the same time would be appreciated too.

While this is an item that I'm very envious over and wish I had, I'd rather it doesn't make a reappearance. Requests like this post come around every few months or so.

And I'm very happy for those who have it and hope their precious claim piece of the game is never watered down or diminished by a re-release.

I am unclear on why rereleasing this would somehow cheapen or “diminish” other players having this furnishing—a purely cosmetic item.

The item obviously holds some intrinsic value. Otherwise threads like this wouldn't keep popping up asking for it to be made available to more players. If more players get it, that value is diminished.

the value is that it's an item that exists that we can't have because we didn't have Elsweyr in late 2019 and were able to log in for a minute to claim the event rewards?

people want it because it looks nice.
Rhe The collectibles from Blackwood and High isle's event reward bundles returned during their recent events,
Dragon's Treasure Trove is also a collectible,
and the Elsweyr event is due for a return as it's been 2 years.

There is no reason to not have it available to purchase from the impressario in some way be it from Grab Bags or directly with event tickets, when the Elsweyr event returns next.
The same goes for the Jade-Crown Dragonslayer helmet and shoulder styles.

So what if it was acquired simply by being in the right place at the right time? What's wrong with that? Let those that were there at the right time enjoy knowing they have an rare/exclusive item without envy and jealousy trying to take it away from them.

It has no intrinsic value. I've never seen it in a home and thought "Oh wow, they have that!"

I want it because I want a treasure room in my home, and this is the only treasure furnishing in the game.
If they made a different version of it, that would be perfectly fine, and people would continue to not care if you have the "original" because most of those people dont even play the game anymore.

If it didn't, then getting it wouldn't be such a hot button issue to some players. Anecdotally claiming to have never seen it in a home means nothing. You're aware of it, you've seen it somewhere, and you want it. There's the value.

      And that's simply false.

Do you have this furnishing? Is that why it's a hot button issue for YOU?

Because if not, there is no point arguing with you on how imaginary people feel.

If you'd read my earlier response, you'd see that no I do not have the furnishing. But I am happy for those that do.

And yes. Making it available again does devalue it. Because it becomes less special the more players that have it.

Rationalize your logic any way you wish. The value is in the fact that it's a prized item that others desire to have.

Great, so you have no basis to be making the claim that it would upset people if this was re-released.
You are speculating. And speculation can always be dismissed.
This furnishing being re-released objectively impacts you in no way shape or form.
However, it would objectively make other players happy to be able to acquire.
Players who still actively participate in the game, as opposed to players from 2019 who no longer play.

It wasn't free, a purchase was required and you had to invest a bit of time to collect it. There was a cost involved.

That said, I see nothing wrong with putting such things in the crown store. The psijic home and antiquity home where such rewards and later up for sale.

This. 100% This. I have the treasure and I agree 100% Adding another treasure furnishing won't cheapen the original treasure furnishing.

Just like releasing a Jester's outfit does not cheapen my Mask of the Cheerful Slaughter. Nor does the Obsidian Dwarven Sphere cheapen my Loyal Dwarven Sphere. Nor does my Striped Senche-Tiger feel cheap when I see others riding their Senche based mounts. People never allow me break out Tinsel though, I guess it triggers them too much.

        Yes, I forgot. My bad!
You had to own the Elsweyr Chapter, which dropped 4 months before the event which granted the reward bundle that included the Trove. I had pre-ordered the Chapter, so I didn't associate a RL purchase with the event.
BUT, if you had the Chapter, you didn't even have to take part in the event. You could have ignored whichever task it was and let the rest of the Community do all of the work. As long as you had the Chapter you got the reward bundle.

Hence my crown store suggestion. It becomes available with a purchase (just like before), zos has done it previously, and it doesn't diminish how you obtained yours.

Everyone should win with the arrangement.

I think a balanced solution to keep both parties happy would be to create a similar pile of gold with the same glow, the same coins, just use some different loot chests/goblets and position of gold.

This way there is the original "unique" version, and a second, easily obtainable version.

I have this furnishing and I don't see why it shouldn't be available again. I can't imagine why I'd want to deny someone who didn't own Elsweyr at the time, or only started playing ESO after it was available, or didn't pick up the reward bundle for whatever reason, access to a furnishing. Them having it wouldn't affect me in the least. Sell it in the crown store or make it available for endeavor seals (so those who don't have money to buy crowns can earn it in-game).

@DenverRalphy, you’re claiming that because players desire the item, it must have intrinsic value. But that’s a fundamental misunderstanding of what intrinsic value means. “Intrinsic value” refers specifically to inherent worth—value independent of external factors like popularity or rarity. A cosmetic digital furnishing has no inherent function or objective worth beyond aesthetics. What you’re actually describing is extrinsic value—value created solely by external perceptions and artificial scarcity.

More plainly: players wanting something doesn’t give it intrinsic worth; it merely reflects its extrinsic desirability. There’s no rational basis for saying that allowing more players to access a decorative item somehow diminishes the experience of those who already own it.

The same event gave the training dummy "Target Bone Goliath, Reanimated" too back then, but never again.
Also the training dummy "Target Ogrim" from 2021's Bounties of Blackwood event.

          - Sacred Hourglass of Alkosh - I have it on NA, but started playing on EU later. Actually, would really love it if promotional events (including houses, special mounts, pets, outfits, etc.) were available account-wide (meaning ACCOUNT, not just server-wide)
          - Anniversary cakes from years prior to participating in the event - My first year playing there was a lovely cake, but I was just figuring the game out and didn't quite grasp how events worked. The following year had a... less aesthetically pleasing cake. Maybe they could be available using event tickets?
          - Skordo the Knife - not exactly event-related, but he's the only purchaseable houseguest I missed and I'm bummed he hasn't come back to the Crown Store.

Really, REALLY hoping for the Dragon's Treasure Trove! Thanks for listening. <3
