Pure Water drives me nuts

Don't you just love it, when there is a water skin or a pure water source nearby and you can't pick up or interact with anything else for miles?
To make things even better, Master Gatherer doesn't improve the speed with which you pick it up. You have to either sit out the entire animation or tell the game 5 times that you rather have the mudcrab or the heavy sack instead.
I have enough water. The game practically throws water at you whenever it can. It costs nothing at the guild traders. There is literally no reason to prioritise water sources and especially not in this grandiose way.
Is there anyone who applauds this feature of the game?
