Can I PLEASE pet the poor sad pupper!? You cannot put a sad, scared dog in the game, and leave me helpless to do anything about it! Let me give him a treat or a hug, or something please!

If houses didn't have limits for how many things I could add -AND- pathing wasn't so, so unimmersive, I'd add a lot of dogs on mine just to pet them, especially if I could adopt those from the world, like in Skyrim

And Scritches, too! That poor dog jumps up and down for attention when you're buying/selling stuff in the store in Leyawiin but you can't pet him/her. Let us pet Scritches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate to tell you, but text description aside, that's just how that doggo looks. I have a doggo who looks exactly like that who follows my PC EU main everywhere, and he never looks happy no matter how many freshly-killed thingies I give him to eat.

The dog can use a graphical facelift too, he kinda looks goofy and out of place compared to all the newer dog NCPs.

Isn't there already a dog you can pet in game. I can't remember where, but I'm sure I've petted a dog in this game.

Galen has a dog you can pet (there is an achievement tied to that).

There are quite a few NPCs in the game we could "help" from a Role Playing Perspective. All the Beggars asking for a Coin, to the Friendly Dogs and Cats who need a Pet or a Snack.

Let us give them a coin or a meal or pet or a snack.

There’s also a dog at the Pact base (his name is Link), but he is pettable, so at least we’re good there

Plus, there is a horse in rivenspire? Sorry, the name just blanked out on me, that just disappears that really shouldn't and should be able to get lots of love. (part of a quest so don't want to get too specific)

In Coral Aerie, you can pet baby gryphons.

Which sounds cute but will likely show how horrible a person you are.
