The Nine Divines & the Daedric Princes

i would love to see eso add the nine divines as well as the daedric princes... and even have them contact the player's in some daily quests... as well they we as player's can choose our who we serve of the nine divines. or even be able to follow certain daedric princes if they wanted

I think we need some kind of villain player options... (i think would add flavor to the game) Might attract more players)

these are just some ideas i had

I know they have templars but they should have a divine.. or be part of Templar's of The Nine Divines if one doesn't serve an individual Divine

I figure you actually don't need to be a templar... but i would think a templar would devout to a divine or all nine.

also adding the daedric princes at the same time would be awesome (in my opinion anyway)

it's been a great game since it started and improved over the years... i think this kind of step would be improtant to undertake... unless there are more areas that have yet to be added

adding some of these or all of them would be a great undertaking.. and might even re-write the elder scrolls (since they are living not just mystic papers)

The Divines very rarely communicate with mortals and to our knowledge it's doubtful if they have ever talked directly to anyone.

Daedric princes do, but they are way to overused and downplayed in ESO. Their interactions need to be fewer not more, absolutely not daily. We need less world altering stories and more down to Earth, or Nirn in this case, ones. Things between mortals.

Being able to pick a deity or pantheon (because most religions in TES are polytheistic) to worship would be nice though for roleplay and such, maybe add some small things for it.

Small lore nitpick, there are only Eight Divines in the time of ESO.

Apart from that this would be an interesting aspect to add to the game.

Eight Divines. Talos hasn't been born yet.

also would be kool to have consiquences for acions.. other than just criminal violation... have a meter ranging in Good, Evil, or even Neutrality if one wishes (i know the dark brotherhood is evil... but there should be something that make tTarmiel feel like a real world))

even marriage to some npcs would be great (my Tae Ahl Charcter likes the Wood elf on Khenarthi's rooost (Sergeant Firion) would be kool to be able to have a relastionship with her (no adult scenes involved) maybe even allow having children... would love to see geneology in the elder scrolls... but i know that's not possible yet.. but maybe some day...

(maybe if there is ever a new live service for elder scrolls) i know it would probably need to have AIs involved (to keep track of those kinds of statistics) i figure not many would have access to that technology (some are weary of them at this point they aren't to replace people just used as a tool.. to do things people can't)

i do tend to ramble type mostly to get my ideas across.

AIs are going to be important in the future... and we need to use them resposibly (might not happen that way until Jesus is back) which i pray is soon...

my faith drives all my decisions and hopes for the future.. i'll be helping here on earth before that

that's all i'll say on that... i don't want to overstep too much (just part of my thought processes)

maybe my character could be one of the prophets of Talos & the Divines, The first of "The Order of the Nine"

Funny i made my character's name back in the morrowwind game I called HIm Tae Ahl.. like a Khajiit Talos (in my mind... even his name is similar... I came up with my own version i guess... maybe i can work with that.. maybe the dev might have some ideas on how i could possibly do something new

(this idea just sparked in my head. (my Character is not Talos, but maybe he could be a prophet of the coming Talos (maybe the earliest prophet for Talos & future in The Nine Divines" i might try i've been wanting to put more rping in my games maybe this is a chance to do this

This. I'm so fed up of the daedric princes. They're cartoon characters and I can't see the divines being handled any better.

Talos reunites Tamriel into the Third Empire at the end of the Interregnum in which ESO takes place. Characters that are alive during ESO place it about 400 years before his birth squarely in the middle of the second age.

Yup. Mehrunes Dagon was like some Saturday-morning cartoon villain in Blackwood/Deadlands and in Necrom so did Mora, Peryite and Vaermina sound like squabbling teens or something at some points (senile ones somehow who had forgotten Jyggalag). I've kinda stopped wishing for Sanguine content because I fear it would just be awful and disappointing. Even his statue in West Weald was weird and imo bad.

One thing people don't often realize is that the entirety of ESO - vanilla, DLCs, chapters, all of your Cyrodiil battles, etc. - takes place in the SAME YEAR. Time is broken and all kinds of weird stuff is happening, with Tamriel being filled with hero-caliber adventurers, constant daedric incursions, and other odd happenings that will be forgotten.

I'm pretty sure ZOS has said it can all start in the same year, because of the whole play in any order you want. But we could and should assume time passes as we go through content.

Which isn't really a good way to do it, because there is still a continuity, albeit vague and weird. Like for example how you can get reactions in some content from previous ones but not vice versa. It just makes things wishy washy. Like they can still allow people to do any content they want, while have a specific order and timeline for continuity. Plenty of mmos does that.

First, I think it is important to make the distinction that the original 8 "Divines" refers to the Aedra. This is a more accurate term when delving into the lore.

The Aedra are already present in ESO though. It's just that there is a lore reason for the Aedra not being able to have as much of a direct influence on Nirn compared to the Daedric Princes. This isn't to say they do not have influence though. The Imperial City questline is perhaps the one questline in ESO where you can see a somewhat more direct involvement from Akatosh for example. The Aedra seem to usually require a champion (or several) to carry out their influence, which is kinda like a Templar really.
