Double Standards in Action - Bad customer support

I wanted to share a ridiculous experience with ESO’s customer support that highlights their inconsistent enforcement of their own Code of Conduct.

Recently, I reported a player who called me "clinically ***." Pretty clear-cut case of offensive language, right? Well, apparently not according to ZOS. Their response?

"We have reviewed your reported concern in ESO. After a thorough review of this report, it was determined that no violation of the ZeniMax Terms of Service or Code of Conduct occurred."

So, calling someone clinically *** is perfectly fine in ESO, but here’s where it gets absurd. A friend of mine got a three-day ban just for saying "this boss fight is ***" in a private whisper. No insults, no targeting anyone—just an old slang term used in frustration over a game mechanic.

So which is it, ZOS? Is the word acceptable or not? Because it sure looks like you pick and choose who to punish based on pure RNG. If you’re going to enforce the rules, at least have the consistency to apply them fairly across the board.

Has anyone else had similar experiences with ZOS’s selective moderation? Because this is starting to feel less like enforcing community guidelines and more like a game of chance.

edit 1 : So the word is too offensive for the forums but totally fine when used as an insult in-game? Amazing consistency, ZOS.

We just had a couple weeks of people blowing up the forums with similar complaints. It seemed like people might finally be getting through to those that matter. But alas, it appears all those threads were closed and now we're back to the same old same old. ZOS does not admit mistakes when they make them. (at least not that I've ever seen) They do not backtrack on issues as simple to fix as the jabs animation. So I think it's a take it or leave it situation whether we like it or not.
