How to enjoy vampire life....

Nice try. I kept waiting at the vampire shrine so long time for this.

Good for the PVP, but no health regeneration. Can't use merchant except stage 1 vamp situation.
Zerith will hate vamp player. (T_T).....

NOT SO ATTRACTIVE for me.

Mesmerize makes many merchants provide services.

For merchants just use Mesmerize on them, and they will be happy to see you.

You wish to enjoy being a Vampire?

Then build around it, make a character who is a vampire and not just a character who is infected with vampirism.

Use sets that deal Bleed Damage or have blood visuals, use Vampire skills, run around as stage 4, stalk cities and feed on NPCs, ride a Vampire themed mount, live in a Vampire home.

Not exactly. After finishing by farming Phaer, the merchant at Vulkel Guard docks was no problem. Any of the specialty merchants ran like little kids. Also the Fence and Merchant in Outlaw had no problem.

I don't PvP. I wanted to be able to feed off Delve enemies, but that wasn't possible. Probably being red meant they weren't 'innocent victims'.

After I was done i just did exploring stuff, collected mats, did delves. Had to pay attention to health more, but I play Templar so heals during combat and heal spells as well, so very few potions needed.

inconvenient waiting all that time to get back to level 1, but not a big deal.

Vampblades work decently since their class has built in invis and it was recently rebalanced better. Extra spell power is nice, but other than that, most of their skill lines are useless to me. Some tanks use the ulti drain/regen skill. The streak is situational, but I would much rather had the blood mist ~Greymoor, I had fun with my vampires back then. Overall I would say just stay away from vampire unless you pvp or want to roleplay one.

That's not a fun or engaging piece of gameplay, it's just annoying... That's my problem with it anyway...

Firstly use builds that are built around you being a vampire and if need be add skills/gear that compensate for the negatives. Check you're at the right level of vampirism too, and be aware when you need to feed.

Second, if you have a spare slot on your Armory Station, save one build with your vampirism on. Then when you are doing things that don't suit the vampirism or you want a break, you can load another non-vampire build and it'll switch off your vampirism. Then when you want it back, load your vampire build. I have a blank vampire and a totally empty blank build on my vampire's Armory and then use plugins to save builds with my CP/Gear/Skills etc. So I can flip between blanks then add the build I want on top.

I do find vampire takes time to get used to, but my nightblade is a lot of fun now I've learned where her limits are. It definitely takes a bit of practice and the right build though.

Also, you can use skins and eye cosmetics if you don't like the vampire appearance

Honestly say, I call vampire player at the shrine by zone chat just only for gold pursuit mission.
(I really hate that ugly design costume reward of GP "love call". )

After I sucked up few of victims, my nice Necro Argonian's beautiful scales totally mess up
, and become poor shallow pale texture....can't use merchant...need tomato mara drink for it...
no health regeneration...need tons of health potion for it.

Not sexy at all. My Argonian girl became zombie lizard. We can't become "Drolta Tzuentes" anyway.

I use the Arctic Rime skin and the Eyes of Sanguine.

She still looks vampiric, but it's muted and consistent.

My vampire is the newbie, and I quit "oaken one bar necro style" now.

I'm studying vampire style building now, but most of those feature is
not so different from basic mag DD style. Not much of vampire feature
out there.

Is there really meaningful merit as vampire except role playing?

I wish there were stamina alternatives for vampire skills, as that would make me incorporate them into my solo build. Nevertheless, the sneak bonus is good enough to justify the penalties of being a vamp, especially at stage 1. And then there's the whole dark aesthetic and being able to prance around in vampire lord form indefinitely at the Bastion Sanguiraris with the jester personality...

I have to disagree. I use vampire on almost all my characters and it's an absolute joy to run through delves, just to pick up a stone. Or bypass enemies in the PVE world, to quickly get somewhere. Or to quickly run away from any aggro. Just make sure to stay at level 4. The merchants that don't want to talk to you? Use mesmerize. Nah.. it's great to be a vampire and to play PVE.

The invis passive can be nice, agreed. As long as you don't have much fire to endure, but most delves are trivial. I do wish the passive's invis had a timer for when you hit uneven terrain and get removed from invis. I like how the new NB invis allows you to jump and still be in invis. I'm not sure how they could balance the vamp one, but it would be nice. The slightest rock in the road will make you appear.

Just join a Cyrodill session...none of the vendors there care what lvl your vampire is, then leave.
