Come on now!

Another awful costume for us to collect.

Seriously, who actually wants this cosmetic?
I bet all you completionists will never wear this cosmetic.

Isn't it all a bit lackluster now?
This has been going on for way too long.
Rubbish rewards for grind-play.

Unhappy.

The "helmet" is actually pretty okay. Dyeable jewelry pieces are always nice to have (at least I think it is dyeable?).
I'd say quality-wise this set is on par with the stuff they sell in crown store. It might be not everyone's cup of tea, but that can be said about everything. If you don't like it, then just skip it. :) It's not like you are forced to grind for it.

I am sry now I wasted any time on this event. I could only get to 11out of 12 and was disappointed. Having now seen the costume I'll never get back those two days I wasted doing this on two accounts.

It’s not a costume, it’s individual motif styles that could possibly be mixed and matched with other motif styles to create a wonderful new look. 😊

    Why?

Only 2 require joining a group (well, 3 if you count having to become a vampire before you can feed on people).

You can actually preview things like event/golden pursuit/login rewards. So that if you don't like something, you can just skip the grind and wait for something better.
I agree that event rewards are hit or miss (I personally skip things like that weird red breton armor or ugly skins/body markings), but why grind for something you don't like? They are just cosmetics and you are not losing anything by not getting them.

I confess I was rather disheartened to see a crotch flapper on the chest and socks with the short skirt.

Does anyone want flappers on chests that are not heavy armor?

Who wants sock to wear with their short skirt? Especially if one likes to pair a skirt with sandals.

    Agree on the crotch flap.
About the socks, I equipped the soul shriven sandals and it works better than expected: what I mean is that at least the "socks" are nice this time around - rarely we are this lucky.
Not optimal but better than usual. To stay positive, it also hasn't hip flaps...

Devs should make a separate gear piece called flaps :)
Also, have an achievement of clipping 5 or more flaps and crotch rags at once.

Joke aside, I suggested many times to have these flaps moved to the belt section, this way they don't have to change the design. But I don't understand the release of new outfit pieces with flaps with all the feedback against them.

I think the artists probably like crotch flaps because they help hide the fact that it's really easy to make characters whose legs don't really attach to their torso properly. I know I have a couple characters who look awful in flapless armor because their legs are too far apart.

The way I see it is I'd rather have and maybe use it, then want to use it and not have it. I'm also a collector so...

It's going to be interesting to see how ZOS brings all these pursuits back. Crow store, recycle or event? Everyone who reads the forums regularly knows there will be people here in a few months/year asking when the ones they missed are coming back.

Is there an illustration with Dibella wearing such "armor"? I picture her in more the flowy gown (or nothing) look.

As a female gamer, I am SO tired of female "armor" in games being a bra, bracers, and maybe a little loincloth or otherwise skimpy. I realize a lot of men play female characters and they want to look at a fantasy cutesy, and I realize this is an outfit, a set of motifs we must pay to apply, but still. Even the Passion Dancer costume, which I did morph, has parts which are misplaced (the beads or whatever they are very specifically placed on certain parts of the chest). ... Having said that, I do pull out the Nord wrap-around towel "costume" every now and then for fun; at least it covers everything without a flap or huge hip plates!

Last month's Pursuits were enjoyable and, more importantly, totally doable on newer accounts. This time around ........ between shortening the pool of pursuits to choose from and the types of pursuits (no interest in being a vampire, cannot stand the Archives and don't have access on some of my girls), it's an easy decision to simply not do the entire thing. I like the skirt, so that's all I'm going to pursue.

Infinite Archive is a base game feature and doesn't require Necrom, despite being located in Apocrypha, fyi. You should have access on all characters

I personally like the flaps. I play a Dunmer female and I like the sense of draping fabrics to better match the Morrowind concept arts. I agree that, solely because so many people don't like them, there should be an option to disable the flaps for players. But I don't want all motifs from here on to just be a shirt. I like the fabric and hip plates and even other accessories like scrolls and vials and such. I also don't wear skirts that show any amount of leg skin. And I save sandals for my beast races since they got those wild toenails that need the extra breathing room haha.

I get the impression that some of the guys on here who play female toons are always asking for sexy clothes for their toons. I have some female toons, but I like them dressed practically!

However, "practical" can also be liberating, and the mini-kilt at the core of this I would put on anyone. I just wish it didn't come with flaps, socks, impractical metal things on your thighs, and pink dingly-danglies.

Well, there are women that enjoy looking sexy. I had a female character due to all the female cosmetics I kept getting and used very small chest/butt sliders and she constantly covered head to toe so I wouldn't get hit on.

Meanwhile the women I'm friends with loved more revealing outfits and largest chest sliders =D.

I am not a fan of revealing outfits. I particularly hate the ones with an open area in the middle of the chest. In my opinion these look cheap rather than sexy.

I'm doing this Golden Pursuit because I enjoy completing tasks, but I'll never use the outfit.

My first character was a male, the second a female. I then needed more characters as "mules" and had to take a choice - since I fall in spending in the store but I can't afford everything, I wanted all males or all females. This game has better aesthetics for females in my opinion, so I've opted for all females.
They are mixed in style, some more revealing and some well covered up. My main has 5 Armory with paired Outfits, also mixed in style. Right now her roleplay build is using legs, bracers and belt of this new outfit, paired with shardborn heavy chest and head, kynreeve pauldrons, and prisoner's shoes.
(Edited to be more precise with the outfit styles)

Yeah. I have all fem characters. I just can't play males.... in any game. Some of my girls are wearing skimp; some are not. It depends on the girl, what she tells me.... but this outfit is just not anyone's thing (in my girls' thoughts). So I've got a couple of weeks to work on my Skyrim install....

I think it's good to have a variety of different types of outfits; whether revealing or practical, elaborate or austere. And I agree with those that said that we lack revealing outfits that are more male- or unisex-presenting.

Above all, though, it must be aesthetic. The Dibellan outfit having a huge rectangular crotch flap longer than the skirt itself looked so extremely odd. And the undyeable bright pink tassles in the skirt was an unfortunate choice (or when you think about it, probably a bug, because they don't match the tassles in the top).
I think the artists probably like crotch flaps because they help hide the fact that it's really easy to make characters whose legs don't really attach to their torso properly. I know I have a couple characters who look awful in flapless armor because their legs are too far apart.

If they absolutely must have crotch flaps for some reason, I wish we had ones that look more like they were a tasteful, discreet part of the outfit, and less like curtains or table runners.

Anyway, there a few short skirt styles without crotch flaps (that seem popular), so they can do them.

I want to say I deeply appreciate this reward being set up as individual outfit motifs rather than a costume. There are so many costumes I don't wear because I love some/most of it but HATE one specific piece or feature. We need more rewards that allow players to mix and match which pieces they like.

I previously used Deadlands Gladiator Greaves, but also Black Fin Legion Breeches. I think those are the best skirts.
I am using this new one right now but I agree that it seems like a bug that we cannot dye the gold inserts of the skirt.

My issue isn't with the styles with flaps etc, but with this lack of variation especially in outfit pieces. For example, I don't really need a toggle for flaps, if that was the design for the motif, I would rather have more unique outfit pieces, especially for the chest piece. That doesn't necessarily have to be in the direction of skimpy outfits. I would like to have a simple shirt like the one we see on NPCs, blouses, cuirasses etc.

I also hoped that if motifs follow the same fashion style with flaps, the outfits will feature odd designs, aimed for roleplay. I would also like the outfits to stay in the ESO lore, so I don't want flashy or modern inspired costumes.

An other issue that bothers me is that skirts/kilts or short pants feature socks. I don't see why is that. This is the case with this Dibella outfit as well.

I wouldn't have such a deep, burning hatred of flaps (and, to a lesser degree, hip tassets) if they didn't clip into everything. There are a lot of leg styles that simply cannot be paired with any chest piece that has a flap without the flap obviously clipping into them (for example, Mazzatun legs in any weight). In some cases, they're so wide that they clip into the character model itself; in other cases, there are styles where both the chest and the legs have flaps, leading to a ridiculous double-flap look.

If the flaps were on the legs (so they couldn't clip into the leg), that would be fine. If they were on the belts.... I'd have to see it, because I don't think that would fix the clipping issue. And the hip tassets will always clip with sheathed DW and 1h+Shield weapons, which is among the most questionable design choices I've ever seen in a video game.

Tassets being attached to the legs makes them rotate +-90 degrees when the character is running. I hate that look, it’s ridiculous. If they were attached to the belt that wouldn’t happen.
