Old character name on Cyrodiil leaderboard

Recently I dusted off an old character on my main account (@sirprizedoften)and brought it into Cyrodiil. That character has had at least one name and race change, but all changes were several years ago. When I happened to look at my rank in the campaign, it was listed with the old, pre-namechange, character name. What database is Cyrodiil accessing that has information that is years out of date?

We are currently investigating an issue where a character's old name may still show up on the leaderboard after a name change.
