Must Reboot Regularly to Fix HDR Washing Out

Sorry if this has been discussed ad nauseam already - I did run several searches on this BBS before posting and failed to find this exact glitch discussed.

I've a pretty vanilla setup. Alienware computer, Nvidia 40 series video card, recent ASUS 4k HDR capable, G-Sync compatible monitor. Went through all the calibration steps and monitor-based adjustments until all looked pretty good, especially ESO. I allow the Nvidia app to optimize ESO with DLSS. Looks great.

But after running ESO a few times, it was washed out to near invisibility. Rebooting solves the problem. My question, at long last, is why? Why does it enter that washed-out mode? If I keep ESO running in background it's fine.

I know HDR is in beta for this game. Is this among the problems the non-beta future release plans to address?

Thank you :)

Windows 11 24H2? If yes, as of MS HDR problem it's solved, but it is not for everyone.
