Pan-Tamriel Best Event Ever!

Okay, maybe slight exaggeration. Seriously, this Pan-Tamriel event has been good to me though. Going from no zones completed in fishing to Master Angler. Going from no replica style pages from last year’s Anniversary Jubilee to farming all of them. Buying three missing Wooden Grave-Stake fragments with event tickets from Dormier in Alinor. Buying the rest of the Lion Guard Captain outfit style pages I was missing for under 5000 gold each in the guild stores.

Thanks ZOS! Hopefully other folks are also enjoying this event.

Now I just want to dig up all the treasure maps I have stored. Because I have been getting extra stuff from some of the few I have dug up so far. Only 88 treasure maps to go. On console with no add-ons to help me find their locations. This could take awhile. :)

Yes. This is the best event they have had in a while for me as well. I got the master angler for all the zones. I got the grave stake memento. That one being missing has been mildly annoying for years. I got a good reason to clear out my treasure maps and have gotten some tough leads I'd been missing as a result.

I haven't gotten many lootboxes but the ones I did gave me some nice stuff including a couple of rare mats.

    It's a nice event .

I agree this event is a lot of fun and actually being able to play the game to obtain rewards I want is a breath of fresh air.

I have always really disliked how the event ticket and event reward system worked, but if you continue to do events like this where you can “catch up” on rewards you missed or didn’t have enough tickets for at the time, then it makes the whole system a lot easier to stomach.

Agreed. I really loved this event. Very generous drops, double XP, rewarded so many activities without needing a hyper focus on the event. I was a little confused by some of the communications, but other than that, absolutely loved it. I hope this becomes a yearly event. Maybe twice a year.

I would love to see the transmutes drops stay after the event ends though. Can we make that happen?

Omg I forgot about that! The bonus transmute crystals are a godsend for players like me who like tinkering with gear and builds and constantly reconstructing gear for alts.

Yes, this event motivated me to finally start working towards Master Angler. And I’m always a big fan of antiquities so having the chance at better lead drops from treasure chests is a nice excuse to bust through them. :)

Was also really nice to get the three style pages I was missing from last year’s Jubilee!

Also really love the Pan Tamriel Celebration!

I've gotten leads from most treasure chests and finally got the Ul'vor, Staff of Worms, and Sunna'rah styles🩷
and finally got the Wooden Grave Stake! I'm happy that's available as i wasn't playing during the Murkmire celebration in 2020.

the materials are good rewards too.

i hope this event returns again soon.

I agree. I finally got that last Grave Stake fragment so I can mark that off.

I got the first new Ayleid furnishing plans that I did not buy from guild traders!

I have got some great leads from treasure maps in all zones but West Weald. I hope the mystery there can be solved before the end of the event.

My only gripe/complaint is that you can't farm the boxes off their 5 min cooldown like you could other events. I used to do loops in craglorn and other places in previous events and get multiple boxes every kill. It's not the end of the eorld by any means, but I enjoy the events where you can mass-farm boxes without cooldowns getting in the way.

I got a lot of leads from Telvanni Peninsula and some for Apocrypha, but Apocrypha maps are rare on PS NA and are quite pricey - like 70k. There are a lot of furnishing leads from those zones.

This is the *only* event I've gone out of my way to participate in. And it seems to be capturing a lot of players' attention out in the world. I'm more surprised to see a world boss alive than dead right now!

Also, from a pure immersion point of view it's really nice to see players out in the world doing "normal" in-world stuff, like fishing, in numbers, rather than just the usual brawling by the wayshrine in Wayrest, etc. It actually feels like a community interacting collectively with the world, rather than just each other.

this is easily the most immersive part for me, kinda shows that people need to being actively doing things in the world. I think if fishing got a bit of a revamp so it was more interesting.

A couple of ideas I was thinking of:
    • Fishing seasons for certain zones (like in February 3 SPECIFIC zones have curated fish) encouraging more players to those spots
    • More interesting trinkets to the fishing loot pools (leads, little tackle-boxes with bait and temporary bobbers/tackles that can be used to buff fishing)
    • More detail in the fishing mini-game (like even as simple as replacing the E prompt with spamming two alternating buttons)
    • Add a skill line for it ( :/ I just realized there wasn't one that feels so weird)

In addition, I think there's some universal changes to gathering I'd like to see, that fishing can benefit from:
    • replace the highlight node skill with one that procs from using a node, it'll summon a pointer (like with antiquities) that points toward another active node of that type (this could encourage people hunting specific materials being out in the field longer)
    • Add gathering gloves(maybe other bits of gear too but most of these professions have dedicated gloves that people use IRL); fishing gloves, gardening gloves, etc. that buff you some how. keeping it to gloves would also eliminate the need for too much inventory space and using the armory/add-ons to swap gear.
    • special nodes; a fishing spot that looks a bit different and drops specifically perfect roe, metal/cloth/wood nodes that drop mainly furnishing and style mats, etc.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this event. Not only has the jubilee fiasco been partially rectified by having the bound style pages drop again and be purchasable from the Impresario, but the double treasure chest loot and curated fishing are excellent additions. Since I already collected the returning style pages, this event doesn't involve grinding and I can actually enjoy it. For example, I couldn't pass the chance to get some fishing done and, to my surprise, I was able to complete the "Master Fisher" achievement.

This is me getting the saltwater fish from Cyrodiil. Instead of a pain in the posterior, as I feared, getting those three rares took at most 5 minutes. Much obliged to the nice AD for not eviscerating me.

Definitely have been crossing paths with a lot of foot traffic going for treasure maps, excavating leads, and fishing.

And like above, it was nice seeing the cease-fire truce by the watering holes in Cyrodiil. LOL I wasn't sure what to expect when there are literally only TWO salt water/ocean fishing holes in the entirety of Cyrodiil and they are both right outside an AD gate, so everyone is forced into a small space, but I saw no incidents when I got mine done.

There's actually at least one other one (maybe two, can't remember now) north along the coast from the farthest east one from the gate.

There's at least 7 in that one spot (keep going down the coast, but avoid the side of the water where Bravil supposedly is), as well as a few more spots in a small area east of cropsford somewhere.

I think the treasure map lead drop increase could probably be x7 or something instead of x2, because in zones like West Weald, Telvanni Peninsula, Apocrypha etc the double drop chance wasn't noticeable.

Yes, besides the new 5 minute timer for boxes, this event was actually pretty great. I finally got Master Angler and I cleared my inventory of all the treasure maps I've been sitting on. The increase to lead drops was very appreciated! Fishing was also very relaxing especially near the ocean. 🙂 More event bonuses like this, or please bring back the extra chance for leads and fish curation to future events!
