Did I miss the announcement for that?

I am just happy for all the folks that had bad luck grinding for them the first time around.

It was discovered on PTS and shared here on the forums. It should have been listed in the article as well, but it seems to have been among several things either not phrased properly or completely omitted.

Aaaah, thank you very much. As console player I don't visit the PTS-forums. Still, it's like you said, the option to buy the style pages for tickets is not mentioned in the news article.

I dunno if they're worth spending event tickets on, as the drop rates for them have been significantly boosted.

Apparently I didn't get the Ul'Vor staff last Jubilee (thought I had but nope), because the first Geyser I shutdown today dropped it for me. And the new members of most of my guilds that weren't around last year are raking them in rather rapidly.

Folk in the zone chats that I have seen, seem to think the drop rates are much improved this time around, so might be worth trying to get them from their respective sources rather than spend tickets on them.

I was lucky to get mine last year so cannot confirm nor deny this.

Yeah. I've seen a guildmate say they got them all after about an hour of gameplay. Seen people say they got in just a few tries. I also can't confirm or deny this (I got them all last year) but it seems like a pretty high drop rate now.

Got Barbas' Helmet from the 1st world boss today. The Staff of Worms took me 7 dolmens. So yes, it has improved a lot since last time when it was an over 10 hour grind each for 2 of the other items.

I'm going to try to farm them in-game first, then buy them before the event ends if I don't find them in-game. But it's nice that we can just purchase them outright.

Doesn't even seem like you need those. I got the Trueflame drop within two Fish and I have NONE of the fishing achieves. Maybe it was just dumb luck, but the rates do seem pretty good even for being "very rare".

It's probably not worth spending tickets on these style pages. I recently talked in a chat, and people say they get a drop after 5-10 attempts. Apparently, the new drop rates are so high that all these drops have become devalued and aren't worth the tickets.

Last year, I got the fishing one and then spent all my time grinding geysers until I finally got that staff. I was so over it that I did not make much of an attempt for the dolmen staff or the Vvardenfell staff/helmet.

I have some toons that are leveling new skills right now so yesterday, when event started, I took advantage of the double XP and slid into a dolmen group. I got the Staff of Worms on the second or third dolmen, so that was a nice surprise.

Will try for my two missing Vvardenfell ones soon. I do have all the associated achievements that increase the drop chance, so that also factors in.

The fishing one seemed bugged last year compared to the grind of the others. I had barely any fishing achievements at the time and got it around the 6th or 7th cast. Saw looooots of people getting that one pretty quickly as well. Set up all sorts of false hope for getting the others last year after I pulled that first LOL

Last year drop chances were not based on achievements, so you having those achievements last year or not would not have affected anything. I got Trueflame pretty quickly, and some of my friends did as well, including some who did not have any fishing achievements. But for at least one friend it took over 15 hours of fishing last year. (She had many angler achievements as well, which would correspond well with the chances not being related to achievements back then.)

It was completely arbitrary last year, I think. Trueflame took me not even half an hour, some others took over 10 hours... Or didn't drop at all before the event was over.

This year I got each of the remaining ones within very few attemps, sometimes even at the first one (the longest was dolmens, and even that was maybe about half an hour because I kept waiting at one instead of travelling around).
Take home message for me is don't ever grind for anything in ESO ever again.

On the one hand, I'm wondering why I even went through that hassle last year. On the other hand, I'm really glad it's easier this time, so I got the missing ones now without having to spend days grinding again.

I'm very happy these are back, because I missed most of last year's Jubilee due to a trip to Japan, and the couple of days left of by the time I returned I decided I could not be bothered grinding for them.

First dark anchor on Thursday I got the Worm staff, and yesterday I got the Trueflame.

Worth the tickets on a couple of my accounts, as there's nothing else I want from the Impresario or Philius, and those accounts already have all the indriks I wanted. So buying the Ul'vor staff page gave me room to work on the "earn 12 tickets" pursuit on those accounts.

I sure would love to see better items in the morphing setup eventually. No, I'm not interested in the current crop either....

I’m glad they brought them back as drops and for sale with tickets for those that were unable to get them in that travesty of an anniversary event, even though I was one of the lucky ones that grinded for most of the event and got them all. To be honest, if I had not gotten them, I would grind for them now rather than spend tickets on them because I want to spend my tickets on something else and I definitely would never buy tickets. But I’m glad that the choice is there for those that need it. I’m also glad I already have them, because now I’m grinding out the fishing achievements! Grind, grind, grind! 😂

It took me another couple of hours running dolmens in Auridon, but I finally got the missing staff.

Anyway, it seems that RNG is still lousy if other players got the thing in five to ten attempts. It took me a lot more than that, not counting the horrible time during the Anniversary event.

I’m not so sure. I had all the achievements last year and I got some of them fairly quick, others took longer. I didn’t grind nearly as long as most but got them all. I’m glad I did because the focus this year is treasure maps and leads.
