* minimal map
* best of 3-5 (rounds)
* 3-5 min time limit per round
* dps tie breaker
* reset all stacks and ulti at the beginning of the match

would be so awesome esp for off peak hours when 8v8 queue times are very long <3

    Not a bad idea to have a ranked 1v1 que for duels. Granted most duel tourneys have always required alot of strict rules that I can't imagine zos implementing or keeping track of.
    We should use the insightful and awesome buttons more

    This is a great idea. Hope ZOS sees it. Would be really easy to implement.

    This sounds good in practice but I promise you this will be very miserable once a few super cheese builds start queueing for the 1v1 BGs. Maybe if they forced Torc of the Last Ayleid King or some curated builds like Vengeance Cyrodiil builds or something then it might be tolerable.

    same as current bgs, sometimes u have 5 zergsorcs on other team and then you dont have a good time. in any case only one way to find out.

    I'd actually queue for 1v1s if this was the case. I think a lot of builds are actually fine to fight (I wouldn't even mind fighting glassy proc-based stealthblades, just cause it'd force me to slot detect pots and that'd likely be the end of it), but if even a fraction of the builds are unpleasant supertanks or whatever else it can easily ruin the experience.

    Not against the idea, I think it could bring a new audience to PvP, but yeah the dueling meta is awful, there's a restrictive handful of cheese strats that will blow away any "normal" build at equal skill, plus all the other cheese strats like body blocking pets that aren't an auto-win but they're miserable to play against 1v1 nonetheless.

    If we had a dev team that was willing to aggressively go after metagame pain points, yeah a dueling ladder could be cool. Until that day, I'd say an unranked casual 1v1 queue would have more success, as there's more incentive then to practice on your favorite build, and less incentive to bring a 1v1 cheese strat just to climb.
    PC/NA || Cyro/BGs || RIP old PvP build system || bring Vengeance

    The game needs a dampening effect on healing to punish mistakes over time. Kinda like wow arena has. Should be implemented in the 4v4 deathmatch “competitive”. And if there’s a 1v1 bracket it would need it too to prevent stalemate which are 100% going to happen after a while and ppl just build to not die to the meta stuff.

    Thankfully the 4v4 bgs are not popular because of very obvious reasons and rarely we get 2 equal skill pre-mades fighting each others. Would be really fun tho to have a more sweaty mode for groups of 4 with dampening effects.

    interesting how does it work in wow?
    the stalemating can be fixed to some extend by using dps as tiebreaker right?
    4v4 is just doa sadly, would need team shuffling for solo q and group q is so dead i dont understand why they dont at least let us host our own lobbies? for people who want to gvg?
