Not to mention the sexually aggressive stalkers trying to harass people out of the game. At best those are getting temporary bans which they sidestep by playing one another account for a few days.
No one will accept this as true. This has gotten to the point where my husband doesn't want me playing this game any more.
ZOS needs to stop letting players log on the game from VPN's. Just yesterday, this creepy player admitted to having a toon parked on EP while main on AD.
As for hammer, they should REMOVE it from game.
Sucks that this is an issue (it shouldn't be, and it's up to ZOS to do more to address this), but I wouldn't go blaming VPNs for this (toxic people will always find ways to be toxic, even if VPNs never existed), especially since players already can and do play on multiple accounts from the same computer very easily with zero VPN required.
VPNs (gaming ones) are very useful for players who live far from the servers to stabilize their ping/latency such that they aren't forced to play a game that constantly fluctuates from 300 ping to 30k ping every other second (making combat essentially impossible), keeping it at a more stable 300-350 ping that, while still delayed at least is consistent and playable.1
