Sets are from the U45 Reveal Stream just now:

vdmi2432cg8s.png

The Twitch bitrate makes it hard to read, so I've typed it out.

Monster Sets:
  • Orpheon the Tactician
1 - Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
2 - While in combat, casting an ability that leaves an effect on the ground summons a tentacle at the target's location. After 2 seconds, the tentacle swings wildly in a 5 meter radius, dealing 659 Physical Damage and stunning up to 6 enemies for 3 seconds. Enemies immune to stun take 4104 Physical Damage instead. This effect can occur every 8 seconds and the damage scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.
  • Squall of Retribution
    1 - Adds 1206 Maximum Health
2 - When you take damage gain one random effect for 5 seconds:
Gain Minor Protection, reducing your damage taken by 5%
Gain a damage shield that absorbs up to 5835 damage.
Heal for 914 Health every 2 seconds.

The Health restore scales off of your Max Health. This effect can occure once every 4.5 seconds.

New Dungeon Sets:
  • Light - Vandorallen's Resonance
    2 - Adds 1487 Offensive Penetration
    3 - Adds 657 Critical Chance
4 - Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
5 - Dealing damage with a fully-charged Heavy Attack places an electric charge on yourself and below your enemy. After 1 seconds, both charges explode in a 4 meter blast, each dealing 2623 Shock Damage to enemies hit. This effect can occur once every 6 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon and Spell Damage.
  • Light - Fledgling's Nest
    2 - Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
    3 - Adds 1206 Maximum Magicka
    4 - Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
5 - While in combat, casting an ability that leaves an effect on the ground creates an 8 meter Gryphon Nest for 10 seconds. You and group members inside the Nest gain 168 Magicka and Stamina Recovery. The first time you or a group member leaves the Nest, they gain Minor Courage for 10 seconds, increasing their Weapon and Spell Damage by 215.

This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.
  • Medium - Jerensi's Bladestorm
2 - Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
    3 - Adds 1487 Offensive Penetration
    4 - Adds 1487 Offensive Penetration
5 - While in combat, casting an ability that leaves an effect on the ground creates a 6 meter Spike Vortex that deals 12355 Physical Damage over 5 seconds to enemies inside it. After 5 seconds, enemies within the Vortex are dealt 6025 Physical Damage over 5 seconds. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.
  • Medium - Noxious Boulder
2 - Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
    3 - Adds 657 Critical Chance
    4 - Adds 1487 Offensive Penetration
5 - Dealing damage with a fully-charged Heavy Attack creates a 3 meter poison boulder. After 1.2 seconds, the boulder rolls forward, dealing 3014 Poison Damage to the first enemy hit and creating a 6 meter pool of poison for 5 seconds, dealing 2096 Poison Damage and applying the Poisoned status effect each second to enemies inside. This effect can occur once every 20 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.
  • Heavy - Heroic Unity
    2 - Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
    3 - Adds 1206 Maximum Health
    4 - Adds 1206 Maximum Health
5 - Activating a Synergy gives you and up to 3 group members within 12 meters Major Heroism for 6 seconds, granting 3 Ultimate every 1.5 seconds. This effect can occur once every 1 second.
  • Heavy - Lucilla's Windshield
    2 - Adds 4% Healing Taken
    3 - Adds 1206 Maximum Health
    4 - Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
5 - Blocking 3 attacks within 10 seconds creates an 8 meter Windshield at your feet for 10 seconds. Enemies within the area gain Minor Brittle, increasing their Critical Damage taken by 10%. While you are within the area, you gain Major Protection, reducing your damage taken by 10%. This effect can occur once every 7 seconds. You can only have 1 Windshield active at a time.

Thanks for typing them out! I wish I saw your post before I started making screenshots myself :)

I think that there might be a little mistake in the sets you've listed by the way. I believe Lucilla's Windshield is a Heavy set, whereas Vandorallen's Resonance is a Light set.

Fledgling feels like a healer set, Jerensi's and the Tactician seem like they'll be useful together.

They look interesting, the new styles look fantastic and I can't wait to test it out

Here are my initial thoughts on the new sets:
    1. Orpheon the Tactician - Same sort of mechanic as Kjalnar's Nightmare. Not super sure how good it will be until I see the damage numbers on my live characters
    2. Squall of Retribution - Could be good for a tank if you're running 2 5 piece sets that give group buffs/debuff the enemy, and you want something to give you some survivability to balance out your setup a bit.
    3. Lucilla's Windshield - Useless set. Not inherently bad but there are just so many other better 5 piece sets that you'd want to wear as a tank that this one will be dead on arrival. Maybe if it was a 3 piece set or a mythic it would've been more interesting but as it stands it seems like a waste of time.
    4. Fledgling's Nest - Useless set. Recovery sets were killed when hybridization happened 2 years ago. Minor Courage is most commonly given by an Arcanist and is way more consistent if sourced that way. "But what if there is no arcanist in the group?" - How often does that even happen?
    5. Jerensi's Bladestorm - Fills the same role as Aegis Caller. The Penetration lines automatically make it less powerful but I won't know for sure if this is useless or not until I see the damage numbers on my live characters.
    6. Noxious Boulder - HA set. Might be dead on arrival if it does less damage than Storm Master or Seargent. Doubly so when you consider that this set is gotten from a (presumably) difficult DLC dungeon whereas SM and Seargent are gotten from easy base game dungeons that you don't need to cough up money to access. Additionally, this set does poison damage which would indicate it being geared for DKs but DK is one of the worst classes you can pick for a HA attack. Dunno what the design philosophy was behind that choice...
    7. Heroic Unity - Useless Set. See my thoughts for Lucilla's Windshield for more details. Also add to that the fact that Drake's Rush does the same thing but in a bigger area.
    8. Vandorallen's Resonance - HA set. See my thoughts on Noxious Boulder for more details except remove the part about poison damage.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with these sets. Only Squall of Retribution seems like it could be OK for a beginner or intermediate tank setup, but if you don't play tank you'll probably not need to waste your time farming the same 2 dungeons over and over and over and over and over and over again. And as Squall is a monster set you'll only need to do that dungeon 3 times max for it.

To be honest, U45's new sets are not that amazing in PVE, most are just mediocre or niche, if ZOS wants people to subscribe to plus+, then U45's new sets need buffs.

What a terrible sets. Same copy pasted underpowered heavy attack procs and completely garbage tier monster sets, it’s repeating so many times with dungeon sets making me skip farming those dungeons entirely. I wish the ideas from other games be taken instead of repeating same old vicious cycle of boring sets.

The mother (healer) catering the small birds (players), making a nest and rewarding those same birds for them leaving the nest and taking the courage (eh, got it ? 'cause minor courage) to fly for the first time.

It's adorably well thought... Too sad it might not be good enough though. :/

Can't recall the last time ZOS released two new dungeons and all sets and monster sets were completely useless. The dungeons themselves looks cool and by the sounds of it got an interesting backstory to them, but how did these sets get through development process without anyone saying "Maybe we should rethink some of these sets because none of them looks interesting".

Like, I'm fine with there being some gimmick set that serves the purpose of being "funny and gimmicky", but usually there are a few of the dungeon sets that can work in either pvp or pve. But these new ones looks genuinely trash for most aspects of the game......

I can't say that I'm excited about any of these. Another shield source(no thank you), "leaves an effect on the ground", extra long descriptions to explain what the proc does. Neither of the heavy attack sets are available in heavy armor. 20s cool down for a heavy attack proc is far too long.

i think its way better, first it doesnt have a windup, second you can wear it without martial art weapons, third they only need to stand 5 seconds in it

That was definitely my thematic favorite.

Just wish that it provided a bit more. With Arcanists and Scribing Minor Courage is ubiquitous so adding a more exotic buff would be more than justified. Even if sticking with Courage... something like 30 seconds of Major Courage would potentially be interesting. Longer duration vs. SPC but more difficult to use vs. Olorime.

Yeah, it would definitely be nice if that set gave Major instead of Minor Courage. As it is, the set seems a bit useless even though it's fun thematically.

I suppose giving players inside the Nest a defensive buff, such as Minor Protection, Minor Resolve or Minor Vitality, could be fitting too. But I'd prefer a better offensive buff when leaving the Nest instead of something like that.

The penetration lines make it worse in Trials but better in dungeons, right? I was under impression that penetration is best 2-4 line bonus until you over-penetrate. But over-penetrating in a dungeon in a medium set seems unlikely. And the proc condition seems easier than Aegis Caller since both melee and ranged and martial and magic builds tend to use a ground DoT (Wall of Elements, Stampede, Volley, etc.) to proc backbar glyphs. And the damage being immediate and front-loaded likely helps to avoid losing a good chunk of damage if the enemy moves, which is a problem with Aegis Caller

I would be totally cool with a dungeon set that works best in dungeons, even if not ideal for Trials and dummies.
