Time to nerf Rushing Agony

No it's not literally uncounterable or unbeatable. But it brings absolutely nothing positive to the game. It's worthless against ball groups, while punishing randoms just for existing. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer. It doesn't enable solo bomber as a playstyle, sorry, you're not doing anything by killing afk'ers. It enables the sweatiest of tryhard organized groups, those who need absolutely zero help, to automate their bombs. Disgusting.

It breaks the game's own rules regarding pulls and disabling effects in general. Being yanked across the battlefield is even worse than a hard stun in most cases, yet zero immunity into a consecutive hard stun (or additional pulls). DK chain and Silver Leash are expensive active single target skills, yet they apply immunity. Rushing Agony is a passive free braindead proc, yet it's AoE and doesn't apply immunity? Huh?

The "Against Monsters" mechanic was made for this day.

    Or just take free pull sets out of the game. That would be the optimal solution. Free pull sets should not exist in PvP environments. It's fine in PvE, but in PvP the free pull machanic is just toxic and unfair.

    Good point, I've seen groups put that Swarm Mother set on their healbots to zerg down solos.

    probably the biggest strength of rush is the not applying cc immunity

    it also probably didnt help the last round of changes buffed this set with the range increase (even though it appeared as a nerf for adding the 200 ms delay to the pull, this made it stronger in lag)

    Theres so many options for ZOS to fix this issue, they just need to choose one. Make it apply cc immunity, make it apply cc immunity to players, make it work only against non players… heck, could give it cc immunity and then fill in their set quota by making a new set that’s rush of agony again but only works against monsters.

    The only "Fix" for Rush of Agony would be to add the "to monsters only" condition to the set so that it would be useless in PvP situations.

    At the bare minimum the set should be reduced to 8m and apply cc immunity. I would also advocate for its removal.
    Before I was just of the opinion that it only required cc immunity applied to it but it is so prevalent and buggy that it is a pest. It pulls far to frequently from beyond the 12m range and through the environment.

    Bunch of us got pulled from before the bridge entryway all the way up into the bridge tower second floor today. Through the floor and wall. Thought I was abducted by aliens or something.

    This set is proof the devs do not play in cyrodiil.

    There is no way anyone with actual executive power to change things would ever put up with the nonsense Rush of Agony inflicts on cyrodiil, every single night by every single organized group. Zero chance.
    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    It will get nerfed then replaced with something just as stupid. But personally I'm sooooo sick of it can't have one fight with out getting pulled from a mile away.

    I tried it and there doesn't seem to be any improvement in both bg and dungeons. 12 meters is pretty small and it's hard to control the pull.

    In any case, the set was at least easy to farm, unlike Vateshran or Blackrose. Everyone could wear it if they want to.


    Saw a much better combo today: volcanic rune + dadric mines + dark convergence. It pulls, knocks you to air, then kills you. Brilliant!

    You sure that is dark convergence? Usually you are CC immune after DC. Rush of Agony is the one that this can happen with

    Never seen (or had) Dark Convergence be able to combine its pull with volcanic rune knock into the air effect (rune is often used to trigger DC since it has a much less noticeable visual compared to other ground based abilities and the timing of runes damage synergizes with DC's delay).

    Dark Convergence does combine with daedric mines because mines are an immobilize, not a stun/pull/knock back effect. Immobilizes have a different CC immunity condition to stuns/pulls/knock backs.

    Dark Convergence and Rune CC's are both considered hard CC, therefore they share the same CC immunity and cooldown conditions and both grant their targets CC immunity (which means being hit by Convergence pull makes you immune to the knock into air effect of rune, but not the damage of rune).

    I saw the purple light from dark convergence and it showed up in combat logs. Agony wasn't listed (I was the only user ;)), and the enemy wasn't even in the target area.

    All these proccsets need to get nerfed to the ground for all I care, they bring nothing , but mindlessness and automation to pvp, where there should be none of that.

    If you have the combat logs (ideally in a video) showing the CC knock up and pull both working on the same target at the same time, then I would submit those to ZOS in a bug report, because that sounds like a bug.

    Like I said, Volcanic rune definitely procs dark convergence set to pull targets in (which includes the purple visual), and une will trigger when a target lands on it due to the pull, dealing its damage, but if a target is pulled by the set, then that same target should never be knocked into the air by rune as well unless they run over the rune after their 7 seconds of CC immunity granted from DC pull runs out.

    Only way to pull someone then also knock them into the air is place rune then pull with RoA by gap closing ontop of the rune (not that this interaction should exist at all, but this should be the only way to do it outside of a bug that should be submitted/reported)

    Heh, and all they need to do is add Knockback to Smash and they can have fun golfing players off the bridge into the river.
