Yeah im kinda just sitting here waiting for someone with more experience to tell me whats better. After you morph a weapon skill can you morph it again? Or is that it?
one morph per skill. You have the ability to do a full scale respec at the major capital within the second full zone of your faction (so, Grahtwood, Mournhold and...huh. I forget the city for DC) so you're not permanently locked in if you decide you absolutely hate it.
Gold, and a fair amount. Something like 100g per skill and last I knew it was all or nothing on the respec. You can do the same with your attribute points.
Don't know if there is a timer or not, but the amount is significant enough most won't do it more than once I think.
In my opinion the damage shield is a god send. Think of it this way, if you are facing 2-3 opponents you gain a damage shield for more damage than you did to either of them seperately, It hits all enemies in front of you in melee range. What that means, is if you have a LOT of staminia, and have 3+ enemies attacking, you can essentially spam it. By the time you get the shield up they are hitting you, depleting the shield, which is about when the next one goes off that gets you your shield again. The damage you take in the gaps is small enough you should be able to regen most of it. Bellow 3 targets though it is iffy, though using its dot in combo with another is useful as well. Think of the damage shield like this, every enemy you hit with it is essentially one less light attack worth of dmg you will take in the immediate future. If you play very defensively it can do very well with things such as the DK's Igneous shield ability because they DO stack.
i think both ways are good it just depends on your playstyle, personally getting your ultimate up quickly is paramount for me. also the thing about the cleave damage shield is that it does give u a nice way to avoid incoming hits but it drains your stamina like a mother ***. so u could get in sticky situations where u are completely drained of stamina and at that point no more cleave, no more abilities that uses stamina, and no more sprinting away if need be. Id say go for the ultimate because in pvp depending on what you have your ultimate could hit the enemy so hard that they back off or save u a little time to regain some of that lost stamina. For PVE i personally would go the damage shield route for PVP id go with ultimate.
I play a 2h sorcerer, so I'm a little squishier and I do have a tank with me all the time. However, I took the shield and it really has saved my rear end more times than I can count. I have had to solo some things when my fiance isn't tanking for me, and I've had little to no trouble in that regard.
Another thing to consider is what Ultimate you're using. I don't know how MUCH more ultimate that morph gives, but I find that it takes SO long for the ultimate to recharge, I find it difficult to believe that that morph would make it availabe MUCH more often than baseline would - so I would lean Damage Shield myself. It also (if I recall correctly) has a neat "force field" look to it.
I play 2h sorc and, I have to say, Carve (the one where you get ultimate back) is my favorite by far. I used Summoned Charged Atronach as my ulti and I have the passive so it takes less ultimate for me to use (costs 170 ulti right now) and you can get your ulti back anytime you want. Basically if you're in a place like Hall of the Dead or Sanguine's Demesne where you're getting 7 v 1'd all the time, you can have your ulti up each fight. Just start the fight with your ulti and spam Carve while your Atronach tanks everything and you get your Ulti back up before your Atronach is even dead. With all the AOE damage you get from Sorc/2h swarms of enemies are your forte.
