last week i was going to ask how to get zerith-vars rapport up. i've reached a point where his rapport only goes down (and goes up after but only to a point). today i was doing some investigation and found that the obstacle to maxxing out rapport with zerith-var is the tales of tribute daily. idk if this has already been mentioned. i think it stinks. i've not won a single game of tribute since it launched. <sigh> why zos? i find this alienating and i do feel sometimes that zos intentionally puts these kind of rewards behind an activity that not a lot ofpeople can/will do. it stinks.
You've had nature explained to you and you're bored with it, you've had the living body explained to you and you're bored with it, you've had the universe explained to you and you're bored with it, so now you want cheap thrills and, like, plenty of them....

Have you done the Elsweyr Chapter Prologue Quests? The Daily Quests that unlock after completing the Prologue (near the Northern Elsweyr gate, north of Cormount in Grahtwood) will offer a similar Rapport boost for Zerith.

He responds just as well to NPC tales of tribute matches, so just play them instead of real players.

@ZOS_Kevin is there another way to get max rapport with zerith-var or is my ability to build rapport broken? i'd really appreciate a straight answer. tyvm.

Please clarify if you want maximum rapport, or to complete the favor achievement, because they are two separate things.

I have maximum rapport, and have never touched ToT. All by doing the daily quest for Zahari in Grahtwood.

derp me i guess. i did not know that unlocking the perk was a separate achievement. i still do not have the glowy heavy sacks unless he is out. skill issue perhaps, on my part of course.

Already stated in this thread, rapport gain can also be received from the Elswyr Defense Force daily, accessible once you complete the Elswyr prologue quest, free in the crown store.

I had to ask a friend for help to complete his 'favour'.

I shared the screen with her an she told me what to do.

Had to repeat this for each and every account.

Glad that is done and over with.

You will have to level him to 20. Until then the heavy sack keen eye will only work when he is out. Leveling and rapport are not the same thing. The ToT is one of the big things you can do for gaining rapport (how much he “likes” you). Leveling comes from XP. He gets 25% of any XP your toon generates (I think it’s 25 anyway).

And if you don't have ESO Plus, you got the privilege of paying to not be able to unlock the favor.

I wouldn't mind if the requirement was to complete the tutorial but winning is too much.

So as far as I can tell an easy way to win in ToT is to get a bunch of gold-stacking cards and slam the Raven Twice when you have a bunch of gold.

If you have druid king and almalexia grab a few summons onto the board then spam almalexia card discard mechanic present on most of her cards. The NPCs can't use it properly, so they might get the summons, but they won't turbo like a player.

Fwiw, I also hate ToT on account of how much time it takes and I've never beaten a human player. Though it's win one match. I can hold my nose long enough to do that.

Yes, they only take a couple of minutes to finish the dailies after doing the prologue.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
