Anvil Crafting Fair

LilBudyWizerub17_ESO
Anvil will be hosting a crafting fair on Friday, April 4th starting at 7AM, while supplies last. Prices are not finalized, but currently I'm thinking a few weapon with each purchase of a full suit of armor for 150g or 200g. The server is currently down and I'll lock in a price when the servers come back up. My thoughts are 2g per refined material plus the cost of the style material from the vendor rounded up to the nearest 50g.

This is, basically, a charity event. I'm setting on a vault full of materials thinking I ought to craft something. I dread the thought of just crafting stuff to break it back down and do it all again. Soon I'll be on to the next level of crafting and most of this useless to me. So I thought why play this game the same as every other MMPORPG I've even played? Just so I can curse the developers for letting me do so? This, to me, is a much better way. Clear the vaults of useless by turning it into a cherished treasure for others.

While this is a charity event, and I hope to make such a regular activity, ultimately I want a real trade fair. A place craftsmen go to selling their goods, a place merchants go to stock up and a place adventurers go to find that odd item or save a bit on price by going to the source. The lack of a public auction house can seem a bit of a pain, but, really, I would rather deal with a real live human being. I haven't started really recruiting for my guild yet, but I have website and hosting plan that should be handle a big volume of users. So it should be able to serve as a hub for a trade fair no matter how big it might grow.

You don't have to be a member to show up at Stros M'Kai tomorrow, nor to join our website. Just an interest in getting this thing going is enough. All that takes is, really, people showing up and having a little fun. Do you have a lot of materials no idea what you're ever going to do with them? Well, here you go. If you would like to help organize or participate in future events sign up for the website, put your two cents into the pot. Looking for something? Sign up and make a request on the forums.

So it takes 51 iron bars to make a level 4 set and a two handed weapon. There's 8 items and style materials sell for 15g each. At 2g each for the iron bars that's 222g so 250g seems a reasonable price. Iron bars actually sell for 4g each to vendors and raw ore sells for 2g each. Since it's charity 250g seems a reasonable price.

Well, I had a whole lot of fun running aqua velva ads. Do you look like something a cat fished out of the ocean? Are those manacles chaffing your wrists and ankles? Is that coarse woven cloth making feel like you have fleas? Do you have fleas? If so we're have what you need. We have a free weapon for you. Yes, absolutely free with a purchase of a full suit of armor for 250g. I ended with giving away an uncommon infused battle axe of rage to the first person to find me. With some irony Steals-From-You was the winner.

You don't have to join me in my little crafting fair, but I would strongly urge you to do this. Just take an hour or two week to help a stranger. It doesn't have to be in newbieland, it doesn't have to be charity. Just something a bit different than spamming "WTS [Uber Mace of Skullcrushing] 1000g" in zone chat. Something other than make stuff to just break it down and do it all again. If you want to be a craftsmen then be a craftsmen, make your mark known. Leave an impression rather than being part of the background noise. Run an armor exchange. You get more experience breaking down other people's stuff. Lord knows people get enough useless junk, let them trade stuff they don't need for something they do. If you want this world to be different than the last then do something differently than you did in the last.
