But he is jealous.
For my part I bought the mounts and the skin with my 101800 endeavors, I do not have access to crown crates, it is not allowed by the laws of my country. So I have my stock of endeavors waiting for a good opportunity to please myself without wasting them. I see my friends winning mounts and skins coming out of the crates, but without a crate I do not know how to produce gems either. So I have been saving endeavors since the beginning. Today in all sincerity I jumped on the good deal.
It is inappropriate and disrespectful to declare that today's buyers are not honest, I am shocked.
I pay my Eso plus at the same price as you if you are too and I have never held Bethesda responsible for my prejudice with the crown crates.
I could be jealous too but as we say at home "look at your plate"
[snip]IMO, it's good that the devs do not block people for taking advantage of a bug in the system, as especially newer players may not realize it to be such (although a rare mount being only 800 endeavours with no mention of sale or gift offer should make it obvious that it's not intended).
However, because older players would expect there to be bans or consequences for taking advantage of such an obvious bug (this is against tos too), I do feel that it is kind of sketchy to raise it to full price right after. It would be better to keep the low price for a few days, as a holiday gift and an apology for the downtime, so more people would have the chance to get a rare mount - maybe limit it to one for the price, others after that being normal price, if it affected more than one? There are lots of people who can't buy crates and can only get things with endeavours, so it would be fair for them all to be able to get a fancy mount. IMO, it creates inequality among players, if people taking advantage of a bug have the chance to get a rare mount while other people who also can't buy crates don't have that chance.
Personally, I don't need it - I have many radiants, including one or two of the ones in the crates I assume were affected, but I have multiple friends who can't use money for cosmetics and would likely be happy to be able to get the cheaper mount, so I do feel that it would be unfair to them to not be able to get it, especially because they are older players who would assume it to be an obvious bug and likely to result in bans if abused, so they likely would not dare to take advantage of a situation like that, especially as some of them were banned unreasonably just for logging in to NA side during the previous PTS issues.
Devs are already gifting items people have bought for real money free at the moment, with no compensation for people who already paid for it - IMO that sort of thing is only fair if it benefits all players and not just a few who happened to be online at the right time to take advantage of it. Gaining endeavours requires actually playing the game, so having older crown store or crate items up for cheaper endeavours would actually be a good way to thank players who can't buy crowns for their support in playing the game. For instance, put the old ugly crown store costumes up for sale for 10-30 endeavours a few at a time instead of adding them as trash items in crates.
It would also be nice if there was something people who have bought items before would get when they are offered for free - most of them are not useful items, but it's the gesture that matters, and when it's the Nth time when people are excited about something shiny and you realize that it's something you already bought before and again "miss out" on the present because you supported the game by buying it, it is very disheartening. Even 100 crowns or 5 gems would work as a gesture for 1000+ crown items. Or just make the gifts new items everyone can enjoy. It's really killing my interest in buying things to know that it is likely just a waste of money because they will be free later, with nothing given to the players who bought them previously. It's only a gift of appreciation if it affects everyone.

I hope ZOS will decide to offer the same price before the downtime so others can benefit from this exceptional pricing too.
At the same time I think there is no need to feel "punished". I mean if the prices would have been normal from the start you would not feel punished if you did not buy it.
You feel punished because others bought it for the wrong price and you understandably regret not to have done the same.
I can understand that you regret it.
But you should not feel punished. Because you were not punished. Nothing was taken from you.
Just to be clear: As I said earlier I would not complain if ZOS had taken the mount back from my account (re imbursing me the endeavors). Obviously I don't complain either on the current decision (considering that on other occasions I missed out on stuff others got)

So, people who decided to not take advantage of this obvious mistake are expected to buy these Apex items at full price - as reward for being honest
But people who took advantage of the mistake are rewarded Sorry, I don't believe that someone looked at 800 seals in Apex category and thought "That is totally intended and safe to buy!"
edit: I just wish that - if someone can keep an item which was bought at 800 seals - all players need to get a chance to unlock the same item at 800 seals as well.
I also support the sentiment above.TaintedKurse wrote: »So, people who decided to not take advantage of this obvious mistake are expected to buy these Apex items at full price - as reward for being honest

Said something similar but, just restate while being "constructive". I agree with you and many others also think this is unfair.

They are so ugly I would not waste even 800 seals on them tbh...
