Just letting all those who didn't know that Deltia has sold his channel and moved on.

I started playing at the start of 2020 so I never really got to see SypherPK in his prime. For me, the number one PvP streamer was Deltia. His energetic and manic style couldn't help but cheer me up as a player and there were many times when I would log in to PvP after becoming enthused by one of his videos.

I know many people in my guild felt the same way with a lot of them got their start in PvP using one of his builds. Although he made fewer and fewer videos after patch 35, it's sad to see him close the door like this.

Best wishes in whatever you do next in the future, Deltia.

    Whoa.

Between SkinnyCheeks and Nefas, I was really feeling light on a KB to rely on. Real shame to see much talent and knowledge leave the ESO space.

    And who is that exactly?

He was probably the no.1 PvP streamer for ESO in recent years. Definitely the most largest amongst the ESO playerbase (SypherPK's channel is much bigger but he's primarily Overwatch these days).

Delta was around all the way back, sad but not surprising he's moving on by now.
-First-Wave Closed Beta Tester of the Psijic Order, aka the 0.016 percent.
Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

-Playing since July 2013, back when we had a killspam channel in Cyrodiil and the lands of Tamriel were roamed by dinosaurs.
    ________________
-In-game mains abound with "Nerf" in their name. As I am asked occasionally, I do not play on anything but the PC NA Megaserver at this time.

Given how the game has fared this year I'm not totally surprised.

Considering what was said in the goodbye nefas thread last year there are some people here that seem to have a negative opinion on streamers but every one of them that leaves means that one, the game has less overall advertising and two, there is less access to modern resources such as proper tutorials or build and mechanic guides (ZOS doesn't do this, it's all from content creators.)

I never would’ve understood DPS were it not for SkinnyCheeks. Deltia had some great builds. This kind of institutional knowledge is hard to find.

How does one "sell" their channel? And why would anyone buy someone else's channel? What exactly would they get, since the original streamer's viewers might very well decide to move on, as well. I mean, it isn't like one broadcaster buying another broadcaster's network, since the streamer essentially IS the channel in an important sense.

Guessing: the channel will continue to produce ad revenue from people looking up guides and walk throughs, since it is presumably favored by YT's algorithm it will keep showing up in searches and getting views.

As Deltia's Gaming is an LLC, most likely everything with the name Deltia's Gaming was included in the sale. He, and the other creators that contributed to the business, will probably continue producing content for the new owners for a set period of time, all depends on how the sales contract for the business was arranged.

That's a shame. Deltias is cool.

I know there'll be harping about the state of the game, but the game is 10 years and some of these content creators have been streaming for a long time. How long can you generate content about any game for? Content creation past the basics is chuffing hard when you're always coming up with new videos. It's surprising we haven't lost more by now.

A lot of people comment on how ESO is 10 years old and hence it's decline and death are just around the corner.
Guild Wars 2 is two years older, Final Fantasy 14 came out in 2010 and World of Warcraft is having its 20th anniversary. If you take care of your game and maintain it, the fans stay and take care of the game too.

I said nothing of its death and decline, I was more meaning being a content creator making content about one game year after year is hard as heck for a variety of reasons.

I also main Templar, and Delia's guides taught me so much about my class. Very dissapointed that the game is in such a state that the content creators that helped many players learn the craft of making builds won't be doing that in the future.

Hopefully the community itself will come together to try to continue where these players left off.

Did Deltia actually say he moved on from ESO due to the state of the game? The article linked above said in the last 12 months Deltia Gaming made $575,000 and that it is selling for $900,000. Maybe it was just too good of an opportunity to pass up?

It does sound like he's getting out while the getting is good, as the saying goes.

Deltia is a super nice guy. He even responded to randoms who emailed him with questions most of the time. Ultimately the loss of Deltia, on it's own, isn't that big of a deal. What is a big deal though is that it's not just Deltia giving up on ESO. This is just another in what is getting to be a long lone of streamers and content creators hanging up their ESO hat.

I found his builds back when I first discovered what one was and that I needed it. He had good explanations as to why he chose skills rather than just making a list of them. I even got my hubby to read his templar build and follow it!

It worries me that eventually we just won’t have any recognizable names to go to when we need to update our builds after game changes.

Some might not be aware of Deltia as an ESO streamer because he had a long hiatus for IRL reasons but he was one of the most supportive of the game and community back in the day. I'd venture to guess he is making this decision for his family's well being and nobody can blame him for that.

Never really followed him closely after the hiatus but I feel like many streamers are moving on due to a lack of interest from both fans and streamers. I mean, you look at the hundreds of clickbait youtube videos that show up in the feed about UNKILLABLE BUILD X with some edgy made up name and they are all the same cookie-cutter build that has been covered a million times over. Either that or it's a video about another cool set or ability being nerfed to an unusable state; not exactly engaging content. The power standardization was too extreme and leaves little room for creativity, narrowing down players' options in my opinion but I'm digressing.

    for some yes

ive never watched streamers like hardly at all (i tried a couple of times and found it insanely boring), so i dont know really what they are playing

not like i would play a game just because a streamer suggested it anyway in the first place

never even looked up builds or anything from any of the streamers for this game, i learned about builds and stuff from experimenting on my own

i could absolutely care less about if a streamer decides to move on cause i never paid attention to them in the first place

i wouldnt say i have a negative opinion of streamers, they are doing something to make money for themselves, but i think other people put far far too much into what a streamer says/represents, a streamer leaving a game does not at all mean the game is dying or there are dire times ahead

He took like a 2 year break from eso and then returned.

In this instance he's not moving on from just the game but also content creation on his channel.

I think it's good to have a healthy amount of content creators, but also makes sense for people to move on after enough time on any one game. Most successful streamers seem to.
