BG deserter penalty RAMPS UP per time

I have had three penalties hit on my character today, each for internet crashes. They have all ramped up in time each time I logged back in. First was 5 mins, then 15 mins, and now 30 mins.

I am not i tentionally deserting the BGs I am in either, as my internet shut down more than once today and I got kicked from the BG as a result. I should not have to wait 30 mins to get back in, or even, if it crashes again, an hour or more each time.

If your internet is that unreliable, you should get it fixed. Don't make other people suffer when you drop from a match.

Leaver penalties don't (and shouldn't) care why you left the match. If you're not reliable, you should be penalized, regardless of the reason. Rage quitting and dropping because your house is on fire may be different to you, but they both affect your teammates and their gameplay experience the same way.

Also, ramping penalties aren't a bug, they're there to discourage unreliable people from ruining everyone else's fun.

This "unreliable people" nonsense is hilarious to read because the sheer magnitude of connection issues I have in ESO have never occurred with literally any other online game. Don't blame customers complaining about a notoriously bug-riddled product.

Go to Cyrodiil at peak zerg hours, run a bugged trial instance, or just enter a player house and attempt to perfect your skill rotation on a trial dummy.

Even with a wired 1Gbps connection, you'll inevitably see the true ugly face of ESO's servers and get something like the infamous Error 307.

like others said if the game itself was more reliable

i have a 1 gb internet and yesterday was in a BG where my avg ping was 170-700+ throughout the match and was experiencing significant lag (and several other people in my BG team said the same thing when i brought it up)

before and after the match, i was at my normal ping of 75-85, and even for a 2nd BG match i was sitting at normal ping in the match

so for that one match i was experiencing a massive spike in ping with 0 changes to any internal (computer/home setup) and external (internet connection) setups

most other online games i typically have a ping of about 25 lol

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities
