Abysmal drop rate of new High Isle event style pages

I usually do not complain, but I really think the drop rate for the new Legacy of the Draoife style pages is abysmally low. After four days I've gotten exactly zero pages. I know that abysmal drop rates aren't anything new, but it really seems excessive now. The rewards in the Glorious boxes don't even make up for that, as I've had mostly junk in there. I really do not feel particularly rewarded as of right now.

manukartofanu✭✭✭✭Abysmal drop rate? Really? Nobody wanted to buy these pages even on the first day of the event. I barely managed to sell one for 30k on PC EU from Vivec. By the way, there are still 10 days left, and at this rate, by next Sunday, you’ll be able to buy a full collection of these pages for the equivalent of farming mobs in a public dungeon for 10 minutes. And you won’t even need to step onto High Isle for a single second.2 -

✭Mh, I have already had 4 drops and while the drop rate is not overwhelming for me they have hit the sweet spot between keeping motivation up by igniting the hunt fever and frustration.
A neat improvement with respect to previous events.1 -

You can open two golden boxes per day: One from dailies in the event zones (High Isle, Galen and the daily ToT quest from the npc quest givers) plus one from the four dungeons of the DLC (normal is sufficient). I think this is pretty decent.1 -

✭✭I've been opening 2 gold boxes and 1-2 purple boxes per day, and have received 1 page so far. I miss the days when gold boxes were guaranteed to drop a page and the only real impact of RNG over the course of the event was whether you got all of the different pages or a bunch of duplicates.8 -

People will spend at least some time in the game to get the drop. A golden chest from the daily boss can easily be obtained in 5 minutes. Guaranteed drops from it made sense back when the game had a large player base. However, now that so many players have left, allowing people to log in for just 5 minutes a day to get not only all possible event loot but also something extra would simply lead to exploitation. Fewer people would genuinely play the game.
That said, the drops from regular chests are lower, but not to the extent that nothing drops—quite the contrary, a decent amount of pages drops from regular chests, which can be found practically everywhere. These chests drop not just from bosses but also from looting nodes and killing normal mobs. As a result, event pages now drop much more frequently than before. However, they end up in the hands of active players rather than those who just log in to grab a single chest each day.0 -

With the current drop rate, these pages are just common junk. After all, if you're too lazy to spend 10 minutes farming mobs to buy them all from the market, join a guild—these pages will eventually just be thrown away or handed out for free. There are A LOT of them.0 -

✭✭It's odd that we often see this complaint... and I mean I can't judge what kind of RNG each player experiences, but it's definitely possible that some are struggling to get a page drop. My own experience is it isn't too hard to get them - it varies a little each day but doesn't usually take more than a round of all the event dailies.
But, this game has always had some issues with imo too big of a disparity in rng, leading to very different experiences for different players. We all saw how that went during the anniversary debacle.
They'd have happier players in general if they smoothed out the rng curve a bit, or added some kind of safety mechanism to ensure that players get drops [at least ones that are not supposed to me insanely grindy] in a reasonable amount of time and effort.
But here's the flip side - unlike the anniversary pages, these event style pages can be traded... and when I go to list extra ones on the trader during these events, I literally can't sell them even at a rock bottom price. I then offer them free in my 500 member trading guild and 500 member social guild and after a few days of the event have passed, nobody wants them. So I delete them all by the end of the event. People shouldn't need to farm 20 boxes a day to get a style page.
Events having low drop rate on style pages is nothing new and it's always annoying. People shouldn't need to grind to get some silly event style, best would be to go the path they used to, with 1 page being pretty much guaranteed in the first 1-2 boxes.[Lie] Of course! Being active and grinding event boxes are two very different things. Event box grinding is among the least interesting things ESO has to offer. The low drop rate on style pages isn't increasing my play time, it's just making the play time I have less fun (because I'm ether not having fun grinding boxes, or feeling like I'm missing out on limited time rewards while doing something else).
In general, I've been realizing that ESO has gotten to a point where it's (dramatically) more fun when there isn't an event going on.2 -

For me it's definitely higher than the Orsinium-Hew's Bane-Gold Coast event. So maybe it's just, personnal and highly anecdotal experience ? I doubt you should be that confident.2 -

with one character doing 3 High Isle dailies and sometimes ToT vs NPC daily i get boxes
and if we count in a simpler manner -> 8 accounts a day x 4 days - i got 13 boxes so far
