Returning Player...No clue what class to dive into.

I've tried to lookup some guides, but they range from 1 to 2 years old and therefore may be outdated. I would love to play a Warden, Necro, or Arcanist, with Arcanist being non-preference due to most builds I've found building around the one beam skill. I'd love some recommendations as I tend to lean towards Stamina builds in this game since I tend to like melee/bow more than the staves. Anyone have any build recommendations or links to written guides? I haven't played since 2016!

Content Creators do not make good guides anymore, because they do not want to sink time and money into ESO. That is why you do not find builds anymore.
There are however many community builds on UESP.net and ESO-hub.com
If you want a good build, then META builds for DPS are found at skinnycheeks.gg

If you only want to focus on one class for a main character, than choose what you like from an asthetic point of view and choose a likeable and relateable character story. A lot of players underestimate how engagement comes from emotions. And emotions only develope if you can relate to the character that you created.
My Orc Stam Arcanist is in fact a Healer, because I want to play aher as a Witch, living in rural Bankorai.

Other than that you have 10 free character slots, that will allow you to create one character of each class and more.
If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

Thank you! I was mostly looking to do Warden but then got worried about endgame stuff as they seem to be quite underpowered relatively speaking to other classes (Arcanist seems busted). If I'm likely to be fine as a mostly solo player, and can still challenge endgame content, then I'll be happy with the class I choose.
