The Fate of the TOT Forum

Grouping TOT with housing and crafting makes little sense. These are all totally unrelated activities.

TOT should remain it's own unique space lest the game becomes discussed even less.

I think the consolidation and reorganization makes sense, but it might be a good idea for pisters to preface new thread titles with some sort of indicator, such as "ToT: Such-and-such a deck needs to be nerfed," or "Housing: We need more slots for furnishings!" I mean, with some thread titles it should be perfectly easy to tell which system us being discussed, but it would still help readers to more quickly find posts about a given ststem at a glance.

"Game Systems" is obviously the category for things that they couldn't group up in any other way.

It will be a mess for anyone looking for specific content. I already scrolls pages, sometimes, to find something that I wrote or a comment that I vaguely remembered.

Honestly, I was already considering just writing on another platform due to over-moderation. Maybe I'll just do that instead of adding extra prefaces to my posts like it's Craigslist.

A lot of the TOT forum is just the same small group of people discussing the game with one another.

I look into this category every day, but, let's be honest, it's pretty much dead. Yes, I do think that merging it with the Housing category will make it basically disappear.

TOT is the German word for dead. Pretty perfect description IMHO....

If you're looking for a thread that you'd posted in, the easiest way to find it is to look under the "Participated" option, although where you'd find that option depends on what type of device (computer, tablet, phone, etc.) you're viewing the forum on.

If you hadn't posted in the thread you're looking for, hopefully you remember enough about the thread to find it.

I don't understand the point in combining ToT with other areas of the game. Lord knows I don't care for it, but for people looking for ToT, it doesn't make sense to dilute it with housing or other systems. It's quite distinct. It's not high traffic so it will remain fairly static and be overwhelmed by other topics.

I get the overall rationale, it makes sense to put all the PvP in one place, as it's all of interest to the same audience. How hard is it to give the systems their own areas? It seems like they are clumping them together on principle rather than for the benefit of users.

Apparently we are now in a subforum here.

That isn't as bad of a change as I thought would happen.

The sad truth is that Elder Scrolls Legends, after much neglect, is finally getting a server shutdown.

Will TOT be pushed to the side too?

I was disallowed from writing about these ideas last time I tried to, so I won't bother to again.

Being in a bubble, doesn't make you safe though! Hopefully, that is obvious now.

No plans to push Tales of Tribute to the side right now. This forum change is only based on the feedback we have received on forum categories and how often those categories get posted in.

    Thank you for sharing.

TESL and ESO sort of had a similar rough start. It may be worth studying and comparing how the efforts for TESL failed, but the efforts for ESO have lead to great success. Well, I'm sure that the studying part has already happened.

With TOT player numbers falling (there were about 750 ranked players last month), the most recent PVP update not having anything for TOT (other than a new style page), no TOT based holidays, a lack of badly needed balanced updates, and nothing TOT related that I've seen for the 10th anniversary celebration nor upcoming Pan-Tamriel Celebration, please pardon my consideration that our favorite card game might be pushed to the side.

I think that there are a number of ways that more players could be brought to TOT and have fun in that process. And I don't mean new cards!

One last thing regarding TESL, I hope that there is some other plans for that game. The art, visuals, and sound effects were exceptionally well done. Besides some of the over-the-top card and RNG based effects that the Sparkypants card design team introduced, many of the cards felt great to play with. Nothing against Castles, but comparing the two games shows a stark contrast. How is TESL not a core game?

I refuse to believe that Hearthstone is the end of history regarding digital card games.
