what title says or is it still just sorc v sorc with a splash of nightblade and heal balls that do 0 damage and think their good?

Cyrodiil is what it has always been. Before you go out there I would suggest joining a PVP guild. One that has COMS get to know people and learn! My small guild has been in Cyrodiil for 10 years now, and we are just as big as we were 10 years ago. We have 7 people who log on constantly and have played together for the past 10 years.

Most people go to Cyrodiil and expect to see some success but they do not see any due to the extremely high learning curve and the difference in PVE vs PVP. JOIN A PVP GUILD MAKE FRIENDS and you will have fun!

I PVP 95% and I PVE 5% only for gear purposes and sky shards.

i gave up on pvp a while ago cuz i got bored of just sorcs and nothing else, i did get to pvp rank 42 on my main in only IC

if solo, you do have to find a build you enjoy. Like I couldnt deal with sorc/NB gameplay so I learn to suffer as a templar lol.

You can find fights if you want, otherwise you just help defend/attack. If you ebb and flow your objectives, cyro can be fun.

It's going to come down to if you have a class or build you enjoy be it solo or with teammates. At this point I only play sorc because I truly enjoy sorc and was a magsorc a good while before the buff when defensive options were not so good.

Enjoying the class and finding builds that work for me are what's kept me going. If you're interested in an experience that's a little more balanced then that's out the window at this point. It can still be fun though if you are playing classes and builds you pilot well and enjoy

8v8 is more casual,
4v4 solo , better to get healer build, it the core role to turn the tide. For other will suffer as most match will one side overwhelmed. Each team get a healer for a balanced match is rare . Or try find some fun as lose side

The new BGs have reignited my love for PvP - yes, at times they are not balanced and try-harders can still get in the way (ZOS give us some proper MMR), but most of the times it’s a lot of messy fun and the fights can be truly amazing!!!

Cyro is still Cyro: I’ve continued to join the campaign and having fun until ball groups arrive. A lot easier now as I get my PvP fix through the BGs

The magsorcs & NB epidemic is definitely not helping PvP. Last night, in a 8vs8 there were 12 between sorcs and NB…….not great fun

Seriously. If I wanted to play a shooter I'd go play one. Range spam is miserable to go against. Players sitting 90% of the match in complete safety is miserable to go against. At least the Cloak and Tarnished nerfs got rid of the worst NB offenders, now we need to knock all the low risk range spam specs back down to D tier where they belong.

dont forget that sorc is actually just immortal if they remember they have streak and giga shield, it actually takes a sorc actively choosing to not streak away to heal and resource up to be able to die. Dying shouldnt just be forgetting you can streak away to go back to full health and resources, like almost every other class that cant just press a button and get out jail free, atleast NB is counterable by detect pots but even that limited. But only being able to hit a sorc on their terms is boring and uninteractive then it gets old really fast when they have almost the highest damage in the game

Just depends on what you like whether it's "fun" or not. Last night I was soloing on my NB and a group of three AD were wiping the floor with anyone who cam up to a resource where they were hitting the keep. Great group, i had to hand it to them. They worked well together. I just kept going up top and pinging them with a coldfire ballista then when I saw them come up I'd pack it up and get away. If one disappeared I'd do the same figuring he was sneaking up on me. I'd also sneak behind them and burn their siege and run away over and over. They never did get me but I could tell they were not happy.

To me that was fun, out thinking them. They were good however, wish i knew what builds they were using.

No. Imagine building into all damage and you got dudes who spam heal/block/shield. Its boring and makes you want to play a MOBA instead.

Endless disengage and reengage is obnoxious, but range spam is miserable from any class. Brainless Plar beam spamming on full hp targets just waiting for someone else to do damage and stun, hurp durp free kill.

To actually answer OP, yeah it's fun when it's not lopsided. Gutting Tarnished and Cloak was awesome for the meta.

No it's not. In fact the untouchable pvp clique and the increasing need to interact with them for daily endeavors is the reason I may totally quit the game some day leaving them to wonder why their game is dying.

Take the small number of hyper aggressive and annoying try-hard out of the equation and then you have some really fun PvP especially in the BGs!!

Most of them are actually quite balanced and fun.

I play Cyrodiil Greyhost every night but it's not really much fun. Nothing like it used to be. You're basically fighting a never ending army of sorcerers for the most part all bouncing around like jack in the boxes and casting the elemental vulnerability spell which is an annoying swirling mess of a spell. Then if that weren't enough to annoy you no end you can watch ball groups running around everywhere making it impossible to find even a closely contested fight.

That being said, later hours can be somewhat fun once the ball groups are gone. It may seem like I have a bad attitude but I really don't. ESO, like every other mmoprg. is a victim of its own success. They've added so much character functionality that they have completely lost control of any balance they might have had at one time.

The answer is always going to be no (unless you have 2-5 friends who regularly play when you do). I and many others have completely lost faith in this team to turn this game around. Every update becomes more oppressive if you you aren't in a ball group/play a nightblade.

Yeah if you play DC or AD it's decent. You never face a ball group so it's pretty good.

And yeah BG's are fun. Just hope ZOS doesn't cave and let groups in the 8v8.

How can you say if you play AD you never face a ball group? I don't think you know what you're saying but it is patently false. If you play AD, you consistently face 3-4 ball groups every single night from 5PM est to about 11 est. Everyone knows this.

3-4? EP doesn't have any ball groups and I never see DC engage the AD ball groups. I never see DC ball groups even attack a DC keep. But I only play GH so maybe other campaigns are different.
