Look at Wow - you can change gender and all looks for in game gold. That's what we need. Less monetization, more player agency.

I totally agree with this, but have to add that although WoW does this right, there are other things that ESO does better, like ESO’s outfit system. Every time you get a new piece of armor in WoW you have to go to a transmog vendor (unless you’ve paid for one that comes with a mount you can summon out in the field), and pay gold to change the look of that piece to what you want it to be. Chances are you’ll run around playing for a while looking like World of Clowncraft until you make it back to a transmog vendor! This is the main reason I rarely play WoW anymore. And, if you want to check your mail, you have to find a mailbox in a town or city (unless you’ve paid for the mount that summons a mailbox for you out in the field, currently a limited time anniversary offering for $90). In ESO we’ve always been able to check our mail anywhere for free.
I just think it’s important when using another game is given as an example of what ESO should be like we point out that ESO has some things that other games should consider using as examples too. 😊

Not saying ESO doesn't do great things - that's why we're here. One thing that it does terribly though is the degree of monetization relative to other MMOs. I just don't want to see this game continue down a consistent cycle of over-monetization rather than giving players content and agency. It's my favorite game of all time - wouldn't criticize it if I didn't care or didn't love it.
