Farming plans

I have been playing for years now and my crafter is still missing a TON of furnishing plans.. I mean hundreds.. I farm dungeons, trials, pd's, delves.. overworld chests, urns, cabinets.. etc.. how do people farm these things, and where should I start?
I check vendors often, but I would rather farm for something then spend thousands on a plan.

✭Most plans drop from urns and other similar stuff you can loot. Specific zone delves also drop corresponding plans. I remember people farming Reach plans in Dwemer locations there.1 -

✭✭✭I have to say I have really bad luck with farming plans!
If you happen to craft and in turn do Master Writs then the Hlaalu Master Furnisher's Document from Rolis Hlaalu is a really good source of base game purple plans, if you get repeats many of them sell well too.
Both Rolis Hlaalu and his assistant have other document pouches and folios for sale, it might be worth checking out?
